So, I'm leaving for my Disney College Program on August 13th and today I realized that it's only two months away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *panics*

Right now I'm feeling a mixture of things. First off I'm scared because this is my first time living on my own, away from home and away from my wonderful boyfriend. Second, i'm terribly excited and cannot wait to get to my favorite place in the world!

So right now I guess i'm going through Pre-Disney jitters.

A little info about me:
- I'm 18
- I'm from Puerto Rico
- I will be working in Full-Service Food & Beverage

:goodvibes

I guess what i'm most nervous about is my roommate. I'm scared that they won't like me or that I won't like them. I really want to get along with everyone. Plus, I have a pretty weird sleeping habits and am very embarassed about it...

I'll update more soon. My university paperwork is done and now i'm in the process of buying necessary items, buying airplane tickets and making a huge list of everything I have to pack for five months.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for introducing yourself. Have you read any of the other CP's trip reports? I'm way too old to do it myself, maybe one of my kids will get the chance to go. I think it's totally normal to be nervous. Maybe you can meet some others that are going in August over on the college board. It seems like lots of them find roommates there. I hope you will let us know how you are doing while you are at WDW.
Good luck!:thumbsup2

So, I've had a really bad day. First off, my two college friends who planned on going to the CP with me from the start are unable to go because of grades. One of them was even suppossed to be my roommate for the program and now i'm really having doubts about actually going. I know this is an experience to meet new people and I completely understand that. When I first applied for the CP I planned on going alone, but after so many months of anticipations of sharing this experience with my friends I now feel completely fallen because i'm not sure if I can make it through with no one from home close to me and that scares me.

Advice is welcomed. Please PM me if you wish.

Hi, don't worry everyone is scared of the unknown. Jump in with both feet and go for it. You may not get this chance again. I'm sure once you get there it will be worth it. Have a magical time

My Advice.... GO!!!! GO!!!! GO!!!!

Give yourself a couple of weeks to get used to the idea of going "alone." remember most of the people there will be "alone."

If you do not go you may look back and regret the decision. No one want that.
