This is my first dining review so go easy on me.

On this trip to the world was myself, my mom, and my son (age 5)

Here goes nothing........

Day 1 Arrival: We headed to DTD because my mom had never been there before. We had ressies at 5:00 for Wolfgang Puck Cafe. We arrived early expecting to wait but were taken right to our table. We sat on the patio. Thank goodness because the center of the restaurant was quite loud. We were given some bread and pita chips. Sooo good.
002.jpg

We ordered the artichoke cheese dip and I really could have finished off this whole dish myself. It was so creamy and the best I have ever had.
003.jpg

I ordered a chicken dish and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. Good thing because I hated it. The mashed potatoes were so cold. The chicken was just ok.
004.jpg

It was pretty but other than that YUCK! My son got the sundae for dessert and it was too cute and really good.
009.jpg

My mom and I odered the carrot cake. Now I am not a big carrot cake eater but this was so moist and good. I wanted another.

Needless to say I was not impressed with Wolfgangs and will try the express next time. On to day 2.

:thumbsup2Day 2: We went to Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK. Of course it was great. Can't go wrong with a breakfast buffet. For lunch we got burgers. Nothing fancy we were on a mission to ride Everest multiple times.
For dinner we headed to Whispering Canyon Cafe. I was worried about this place because so many people give bad reviews for it. It was one of my top favs of the trip. We were given corn bread when we were seated. It was hot and GOOD. I ordered a chocolate shake (all you can drink!). Man it was so yummy. I finished one but couldn't do another.

I had the pork eggrolls for my appitizer. They were wonderful. It was served with a bbq mayo sauce and watermelon salsa. The salsa was to die for!!!!!

229.jpg

I chose a pasta dish for dinner and I had to stop myself from licking the plate. I was really impressed. My mom also ordered the same thing and she loved it too.

230.jpg

We had Caramel Apple Pie for dessert but I didn't get a pic. It was good but needed a large scoop of vanilla icecream to go with it.

All in all I would without a doubt go back to this restaurant. I loved it!!!

Day 3: We ate a quick service breakfast at ASM. No pics sorry:confused3
For lunch we ate at Tony's at MK. I ordered a salad and the panini of the day. It was an Italian Panini. It was served with homemade potato chips. Soo good I finished it all!!! Yes I ate it all!

295.jpg

For dessert we got the pumpkin cheese cake. It tasted more like pumpkin pie to me. I'd pass on this one next time.

296.jpg

For dinner we headed to Kona at the Poly. I've always heard lots of good things about this place and I was ready to eat. I ordered the crab cakes and was turned off by the strong fish smell when they arrived at the table. I'm not a big fish eater. To my suprise they were awesome!! Ate them all.

358.jpg

I got the Ginger Crusted Ribeye with mashed potatoes. The best steak I have ever had.....Hands down! It speaks for itself.

359.jpg

My son wanted the fish for his dinner. Again to my suprise it was sooo good. He was tried of hamburgers and chicken by this point. It came with green beans and strawberry yogurt.

I got the Kona Kone for dessert so I could share with my son. So creative!

My mom got the chocolate lava cake. I really should have gotten this. It was too good. Hot chocolate in the center of chocolate cake. I can taste it now.

I will be going back to Kona next year. I can't wait.:woohoo::woohoo:

Great start to your report - thanks for taking the time to share it with us!

Day 4: Quick Service Breakfast again.
For lunch we ate at 50's Prime Time. I didn't get any pics for some reason. It was ok. The dinner we ate last year was better. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and mom ordered a turkey sandwich. They were something I think would be a quick service meal. We ordered onion rings and they were really good. I did get a rasberry smoothie to drink and it was awesome I just wish I could have had a refill!

For dinner we went to Mama Melrose. I wanted to try a Mojitio. It that spelled right?? Anyways I had never had one and so why not!

481.jpg

It was good but you really have to like mint.

We got hot bread with a oil and pepper dip. My mom didn't like the oil so she requested butter. Go figure.
I ordered a mozz and tomatoe salad. It was pretty good. They cheese and tomatoes were really cold. Almost too cold in my opinion.

482.jpg

I ordered the chicken pasta for my dinner. The best ever!

483.jpg

Mom ordered the chicken parm and enjoyed it too. For dessert I got a pic of all of our desserts. Mom's was a sugar free dessert. It is the lemon one on the back left.

I will be taking my hubby here next year. Another great restaurant!!!

Day 5: Quick Sevice Breakfast. Lunch we headed to the Plaza. She was really excited to see the Banana Split on the menu. I ordered the cheesesteak. It was pretty darn good. I got chips with it.
524.jpg

My son finally was able to get something other than chicken or a burger. He got the turkey sandwich. It came with fries and sliced apples. He ate it all. It was a good change. He got the mickey mouse icecream cone for dessert.
525.jpg

Mom got the banana split and ate it all.:banana:
526.jpg

I got the chocolate sundae with hot fudge.
527.jpg

This is a great place to cool off and get a great meal. I will be back and would recommed it to everyone.

Dinner.....We went to the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It was great and we all loved the show. We had all you can eat salad, cornbread, fried chicken, ribs, beans and mashed pototoes.

560.jpg

Then for dessert STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE:woohoo::woohoo:

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDD!!!!!!

Day 6 our last day:guilty::

We went to the Poly for Lilo and Stitch Breakfast. It is a family style breakfast. Everything is served in one big pan and is all you can eat. We were given the welcome bread when we got there. It was a cinnamon bread and a pineapple/coconut bread. They were both great. I wished they were warmer. We were given a plate of fruit and then out big skillet was brought out. It had eggs, bacon, sausage links, and bisquits. A waiter would come around with the mickey waffles so they would be hot. I enjoyed this breakfast because you didn't have to leave your table in fear of missing the characters.

617.jpg

We had a quick service lunch at Peco's Bills. We had taco salads. They weren't too bad.

For dinner we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table. What a way to finish off our trip. I ordered the BLT salad. They have changed this from last year. It was better last year for sure. BUt I still at it all. We also were given a huge basket of bread. I ordered the prime rib with roasted potatoes. Last year it came with different pototoes. Almost like a Au Gratin pototes. THey were much better. My steak was ok.
707.jpg

For dessert I ordered the Rasberry Sorbet but the waiter brought the Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle. He realized it and then brought the sorbet also. So I had 2 desserts......yep at them both!!!!! Both were really good. The chocolate buckle last year was really dry but this one was fresh! My son got a little sundae.
709.jpg

After all this food I am dreading weighing myself tomorrow. :scared1::scared1: Back to dieting I go so I can get ready for my trip next year.

Great report the pics are awesome. Thanks so much for taking the time to do it. I truly enjoyed it and it has inspired me to continue on my diet before I get to Disney as it certainly won't be easy to stick to while I'm there.

Loved your dining review.. all the pics were awesome! I've only been to Kona for breakfast but your dinner looked really good so we'll definitely try dinner there on the next trip :) We always love the Hoop Dee Doo Review so glad to see you did too! BTW all your desserts looked amazing... I'm a big sweet/dessert eater myself

Thanks for the reviews! I was unsure about my ADR at Kona, but I am keeping it for sure now!!

Great reviews. We are going to many of the same restaurants in December, so I am glad to hear the good reviews!:)
