My First Debate---Should the running of the Bulls in Spain be Banned?

I think that this is Spain's business and not up to us to judge. As for the bulls, I don't see how the run itself is cruel. Silly, dangerous and perplexing maybe but not cruel IMO.

The bullfighting is another matter though. I think it's tragic that the bulls are mistreated and killed. The bulls are not killed in Portugal which is a step in the right direction.

The run isn't cruel, but its portends events to come. There wouldn't be a run if there weren't bull fights, which are definately cruel.

Two corrections for all of you:

Yes it has been a tradition for many years but only in one town in the whole country, Pamplona. Nobody else does that.

That is not quite true, there are many other towns or villages that in the summer time have runs like that but do not involve the killing or even a bull fight , they run just for fun .

People hunt here as a sport , what is the difference? killing is killing regardless of the method.
