My First Bee (hornet) Sting of the Season.

It barely hurt; just a little pinch. Usually the first one of the season doesn't bother me that much. Its the second and third. I don't usually get a forth. This one is acting like a forth bee sting. My fore arm looks as big as my upper arm!
Red, hot, swollen, itchy. Topical steroids are not helping. I hate to take benedryl because it puts me to sleep for HOURS. I took a loratidine, but it seems that I am getting more sensitive to these critters.

I've only been stung by a bee ONCE in my life! I was 5. *knock on wood* I hope your arm feels better soon

Wow! How do you get do many? You wrote like it is almost natural for you to get stung that much. Last time I was stung was decades ago and I am outside all the time.

Today I was hanging out clothes on the clothes line and they had hidden themselves in the tubing of the umbrella clothes line. Sometimes they hide n the handle of my charcoal grill or while I am mowing the lawn or out around the pool filter.

Wow Dawn! That hurts! It might not be a bad idea to go visit your doctor because if you're getting much more sensitive to them, you may need an epi-pen. I know that sometimes it only takes one more bee sting to go into anaphylaxsis (or however you spell it). Stay safe out there!

When I was working, I used to bring home the expired epi pens. So far I have never had a systemic reaction but then, there is always that first time. In the mean time, "I Yam what I Yam". I feel like Popeye with this hugely swollen forearm.
