My first attempt at a Pre-Trip Report, we are back, see last page for link to TR

Okay, so not really exercise but I am getting on my feet and walking around for a good period of time instead of sitting on my rump. I work for 8 hours behind a computer. I have been mall-walking. :cool1: It sounds goofy and my coworkers make fun of me, but it works for me.

Wow!!! The Pain... It must be because of me being sedentary since I got sick and finally getting moving. My muscles are just not used to moving around. So cruel.... ;)

I am glad I am doing this now, about 2 months before our trip, instead of waiting to get moving ON the trip. My back and legs and knees are killing me. At least I can say no SOB or chest pain. I am noticably tired afterwards but work has been stressful lately (been working 6 day weeks, and working 7-8 days straight) so that also takes its toll on me. Both bosses are taking their vacations now, and I get to be in charge. Advanced payment for my trip in Sept. I guess......

Pretty much that is all of the planning I got going on. If anyone has any input or has any suggestions on something I might be missing, PLEASE let me know. TIA!!!

Mall walking is not silly at all! I am on weight watchers, and they say that is the best thing to do to start!
How long are you walking for and do you have a pedmeter to see how far your going?? Also, how far into the walking are you feeling tired?
You want to start small and then build up! if you start too big then you feel crappy and instead of continuing the exercising, you stop. That gets us nowhere!
Is there anyway you can go walking (even around your neighboorhood OR a local school track) BEFORE work??I can understand how a stressful day at work can kill the engery you want to have for a workout! Sometimes i just get up 30 minutes earier and get my work out in that way!
Sorry work is stressing you out! here if you want to chat about it!
Hope this helps! xo <3

Just found your PTR, subbing in.....I am writing one for the 1st time also :). Good luck with the PTR and the trip:thumbsup2

Thanks for your input!! I appreciate others' opinions!!!I am not really sure how far I am walking, but it is the distance from one side of the mall back, a round trip. I actually feel pretty good after 1 lap so I am thinking of changing my route and adding another 1/2. Starting in the middle doing a lap, then do another 1/2 lap. Our mall is not big but for my purposes it is just fine. I did a lap yesterday but I should have taken the day off. My back and sciatica (I think that is what it i called, the pain starts in your back then goes down your leg) were hurting. I am taking off today instead. It's my day off from work so already did laundry, that was my activity for the day lol.

Working out before work isn't really an option I like to entertain... I am at work between 6am to 7am everyday. My work schedule is wacky I usually only get off 1 day a week, during the week and I am there way early. I actually like to walk after work so I can decompress from work before I get the kids. Work has been stressful mostly because the two bosses take their vacations back to back and having to fire someone because he almost lost us our biggest client. BIGGEST CLIENT GONE=NO JOB.....!! (for everyone) It has calmed down and should be okay til next tues when the other boss is gone for a week and a half. He keeps the place running (he is the vp). The owner will be there but he usually just gets in the way, and he admits it too.... lol!!
(My Disney vacation can't get here soon enough!!)

And I prefer not to walk outside if I can help it. It is usually at least 90 outside..... florida summers. I know Sept won't be too much better so eventually I will have to deal with it.:cool2:

I need to go back to the mall today to return some stuff (again!, can they put a limit on how much or how many times you return items?). I am only going to go to JCP though.

Just found your PTR, subbing in.....I am writing one for the 1st time also :). Good luck with the PTR and the trip:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading!! and :welcome: to my PTR. I will check yours out as well.

Most of the plans have been made so I won't be really updating much more except for my random acts of w.t.heck that happen in everyday life leading up to my trip. I will be writing another one for my trip in late Oct/Nov for F&W. Still not sure on details yet though. As well as one for late Jan. for DBf and my 2nd anniv. trip. We have AP so we like to go for a 2 day/1 night trip randomly. We also plan on making some day trips too.

I am really excited about writing a Dining TR. I have read another by a fellow AP holder. Lots of fun!!

Again thanks for reading mine!!

So I realized that ya'll don't know our "real" info. I am Janet and DBf is Jay. I added as an avatar a pic of us from my bday last year.

Pic from my last Disney trip, during Star Wars weekend:
Darth Vadar w/random dude no idea who he is lol

I look like a goof, but I was having fun. Those were the only 2 saved from the previous trip because the others all had my ex in them.... So they got deleted....

Sounds sooo fun I wish I could live so close to WDW. :worship:

So I decided to change our ADR for lunch on day 2 from Coral Reef to Biergarten. This has been the one ADR that I have been questioning since I made it mostly due to the cost and uneven reviews.

In addition to those factors I realized we would be backtracking, being in FW then going to WS then going back to FW for lunch then going back to WS. Sounded silly so I decided to say to heck with it. I realized it when I made that actual itenerary on the spreadsheet.

As of 7.10.11...... Ok so scratch Biergarten. Will get the beer just not the food:lmao:

Gonna find a QS meal when we are hungry and eat at that point instead of another scheduled meal. Again budget issue mostly. Want to save that money to drink.... Priorities right???;)

I JUST GOT MY DISNEYSTORE.COM ORDER!!!

I was really worried that the shirts I ordered would be too small or way too big because I wasn't sure how the sizing works on that. But it looks like they will fit fabulously!!!

http://www.disneystore.com/organic-...ton-tee-for-women/mp/1282502/1001142+1000765/

http://www.disneystore.com/clearanc...ell-tee-for-women/mp/1282654/1001142+1000765/

Planning on the Jack Skellington tee for HS day 1. Planning on the Tink shirt for EPCOT. Tink is my fav character, it is actually my nick name at work, lol.

I got some earrings on clearance at Target. I also found Dbf a new Hawaiian shirt from Target for 6 bucks!! Love the savings!!

DUMB QUESTION FOR ANYONE!!

When putting in the links for the single threads, how do you label them so when they show up on the posts it has the name of what it is instead of
having to put a label then the address behind it? I am kinda confused on the logistics of this. :confused3

We are trying Biergarten for the 1st time too!! I hope it is fun for my 3 kids:confused3

do you mean if you are adding "chapter links" or something else????
If it is the chapter links, this was what i was told and it is the directions to the tee!
from my ptr, thanks courtney!
For the chapter links (hopefully this will make sense!) When you do a new post, click on the number in the upper right hand corner of the post. This will open up that particular post in a new window. From there, copy the web address of that window. Then, go to the post that you want to post the link in and click on the edit button down in the bottom right hand corner. There is a small globe icon that has a paperclip below it up at the top of the edit box. Click on that and then paste your URL into the box. Then click ok (or whatever it prompts you to do). It will insert the URL into your post. The highlighted part is the title, so just change that to whatever you want it to be and save your changes.

your change of plans sound great! def makes more sense! Also, LOVE your purchases!!!!! xo

I apologize! it slipped my mind that you live in FL!
I do not think they can put a limit on what your returning as long as it is current purchases!

It sounds like your doing really great with stamina building! just a little bit at a time! you can do it!!! :yay::yay:

We had lunch ADR at Coral Reef. Then we were going to do the Biergarten buffet instead..... After reviewing our budget as well as other issues, we decided to just do QS for lunch somewhere. Probably at the Land, maybe not??? We may skip breakfast this day & get there at rd, do the rides we want, then eat after and walk around WS and have a snack later.

I keep on adding and subtracting stuff and 2nd guessing myself. DBF has decided he doesn't care anymore about where we eat or what we do as long as I stop stressing out about it. Apparently I am driving him nuts???!!!:rotfl2:

I get so excited about what we could possibly do then realize it may not feasible and get sad :( Glad DBF is here for hugs.

So, I found out, due to 4th of July, that DBF loves firework shows. I personally don't really care one way or the other to see the show and quite honestly the bangs scare the heck out of me. I feel like I am having a flashback (of what I don't know, because I have never been to war, but I get really jumpy and on edge.....) anyways.....

So I am thinking after our dinner at Cape May on day 1 we will ride the monorail (or maybe bus from Beach Club) over to MK and grab a drink at the Poly and watch Wishes from there, or go into the MK and watch Wishes there.

I really want to check out the Poly, though, because I have never been there before and Dbf has stayed there in the past and he loves it. Then get a ride back to POP via the bus. We cannot do this day 2 or 3 because those are Night of Joy nights and MK isn't doing Wishes those nights.

I am wondering will we be allowed to go to the Poly to do this? or is the Poly beach reserved only for Poly guests. I know anyone can eat at any restaurant on any property regardless of whether or not you are staying on property but from what I have read around these boards, Disney seems to not allow resort hopping or resort touring. I would love to check out Poly, GF, and CR. Or maybe this is just pool hopping?? :confused3

AND... for my plans to ride the rides at EPCOT during Illuminations, I guess that is scratched too cause Dbf wants to see that show. However we will probably be eating during Illuminations anyways. Our ADR is at 820pm at Tokyo Dining. Maybe instead of Wishes after Cape May we can just walk to EPCOT and watch Illuminations?? OH DECISIONS DECISIONS!!! :confused3

Also decided to just pay off our room only reservation so we are now paid in full!!!!! Room paid for, AP paid for too. Now we have to have eating money. If necessary I can eat pb&j for every meal as long as we still go!!!!

HUGS!!!!! it will all work out! no worries!!!!

You have a lot of great options!!!
I believe some resorts are more strict on "pool hopping" (although we have done it! bring your own towels! otherwise it can be an issue). We have definetly looked around resorts after eating at them and never had an issue!!!

HTH! xo
btw: had to do some reutrning at JCP, NO issue whatsoever! they also didn't ask for my driver's license, which most places do!

Thanks for the info. I was planning on bringing my own towels to the pool, that way I can find my chair... lol just kidding....

Someone needs to take my debit card away because I can't stop shopping ugh!!!! At least our room is paid off and we have AP so those expenses are a non-issue, but if I don't stop buying "stuff" for the trip, we will be eating pbj for every meal in our room. :scared1:
