I have been lurking and reading thread after thread, post after post, about booking FP+. My 60 day window opened tonight, I am traveling 9/12-9/19.

My experience, in a word: FANTASTIC!

I have read so many threads about difficulties, crashing, bugs, attractions not available, etc. I experienced none of this!

Logged on at about 11pm MT, about 1 AM ET. I did check, while still at work at 10:05 MT and the window was opened so must have opened right at 12AM ET.

When I got home, I sat down at the computer. Had my tentative hand-written schedule on the desk, easy WDW crowd calendar in one window, my disney experience in another. In about 20 minutes I booked 7 days worth of FP. No problems whatsoever getting any attraction, for any time. I chose my 3, selected the best option of the 4 presented, and then immediately went back in and adjusted the times to exactly what I wanted. No problem getting all 3 selections back to back. My plan is starting late morning, 3 consecutive FP+, then shooting for additional FP+ as availability allows.

SDMT was available across the board. I am not interested in A&E (traveling with just my wife and I) but just for giggles checked availability. Not available for my first day, right at 60 days, but definitely available for at least the least 4 days of my 7 night trip (that's all I checked).

DISCLAIMER: Traveling in mid-September, party of 2.

But my dates and my party size, no problem what-so-ever. I found the interface to be excellent and work quickly, self-explanatory, no problems adjusting the times to just what I wanted.

I was SO pleasantly surprised. Just wanted to post my experience since I have read so many negative posts regarding the FP+ booking process....

Thanks for sharing. I had a nearly identical experience, except I didn't book until about 45 days out. I hope it bodes well for our Magic Band experience while we're there.

I even tweaked one of my FPs yesterday (at 2 weeks out) and was able to switch it to exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for sharing.

Our only blip when we did ours was that we set an alarm for 5am UK time (midnight ET) and it wasn't up and running... but when I woke up again at 6am, everything was there, and we got everything we wanted (including SDMT and A&E).

I then decided when I got home from work that evening to book some FP+ for our final morning at Magic Kingdom, and even then was able to get A&E and SDMT. All good. :)

Yeah, A&E are the only ones that are crazy hard to get right now. For those who don't have an interest in getting it there is really no issues. We too are going in September and could only get A&E for our last day in Orlando of a seven day trip... so it is tough for the ones who want/need A&E. Otherwise, no problems! Glad it worked well for you :goodvibes

This is very similar to my experience...except that I booked around 4pm CST. I didn't even look into A&E though...so that may very well have been gone for a good chunk of my trip. But I was able to get a couple of FP+ for 7DMT (for first and last day there) and everything else I wanted as well. The system worked flawlessly for me without any glitches (knock on wood).

I guess the biggest issue is that a lot of people don't like choosing the 3 rides because it doesn't work with the way they tour and it isn't the way they WANT to tour. I understand that...but it suits my needs perfectly so I don't have any issues. The other issue seems to be comments about how it is not user friendly or intuitive...but I didn't see any issues with that. It works the way it works and that's how I used it...I don't typically waste time and energy getting frustrated over the way I think something SHOULD work...just deal with the way it DOES work (which in this case is fairly simple and easy for the way I want to use the system).

Of course...none of that accounts for the bugs and glitches in the system which I have been lucky not to encounter myself but which I don't doubt others have. It is a computer system and even if it works perfectly 99.9% of the time...there will always be odd little bugs and glitches...happens everywhere. I know these are a possibility for my trip but I'm not stressed about them and if they happen then they happen...bottom line is that I will be in Disney World and I intend to have a wonderful time.

Good luck on your trip and I hope you have an absolutely fantastic time. I enjoyed FP+ last September and will be enjoying it again this September. :)

It's nice to hear positive reviews. We are going in December for the first time since 2010 and all of the negative reviews had me a little worried. Most times I take such reviews with a grain of salt and feel like people are just feeling a little negative because they simply don't like change. But there have been SO MANY negative review I was taken aback! I'm happy to see some good experiences.
