I can't even imagine what it would be like to have to make the decision whether or not to donate his organs. It'll be a year on the 31st that our nephew was killed in the car accident, so I can totally relate.

Please let the parents of this young man know what a wonderful thing they are doing by donating his organs. My brother received a kidney at age 12 from a young lady who had died in a car accident....we are so very thankful for the many years that it added to his life. Please tell them THANK YOU and my prayers are with them.

Kim, in my life I have lost my father to a drunk driver, a cousin's 17 year old son, a good friend's 17 year old daughter and a cousin's husband to car accidents. They are devestating...so fast someone is gone. My heart breaks for your aunt...to lose her only child. My prayers are with your family at this terrible time. My prayers also go out to the recipients of the organs...may this young man bring much hope and longevity to their lives.

A year ago my middle child was in a car accident that could have been disastrous...I was lucky, as he hit a telephone pole. Your family is living my nightmare. I am so very sorry.

Robin that has been my sentiments for the past 36hrs....my family has struggled with health issues for the past 18months...but we have been on top of them and while they could have become life threating...they never got there....I just reflect every few hours about how small my life's problems are.....

I'm sure my Uncle and Aunt would trade anything to have their son back....

I have a cousin who recently suffered a brain injury. While we were much luckier then you I know that this is just so rough. My cousin did live, but the extent of the damage is still not known. All we do know is that he will not recover 100%.
