Hey everyone, thanks for the attention Im an only child, its always welcomed.
SO! Day Three of our eating spree commences with Old Port Royale This was chosen out of pure convenience, I purposely left a few Breakfasts open without ADRs so that we could choose freely what ever we craved, we chose Old port Royale because it was raining cats and dogs and it was sO cOLD we didnt want to park hop, knowing we were going to epcot for the day My dis database isnt so developed that I knew of anywhere in epcot for breakfast so to end my rambling finally we arrived at old port royale.
The food was yucky
Oh
my
I am such a breakfast food person, I love breakfast! I can eat breakfast all day long. (I have done it before, IHOP is about 1 mile away from my house) The eggs were yucky, the bacon
im still not sure it was bacon
the potatoes were OK, lukewarm
French Toast
well you get the picture
eww
It looked really good when we first got it, looks are deceiving! Im so mad we wasted 2 cs
Maybe something else, something made to order instead of being mass produced, would have been better tasting
It didnt help that I was still fantasizing about Cinnamon French Toast from CP
*sigh*
Lunch @ the Electric Umbrella. Surprise! Double bacon Cool place while we were there we were kind of feeling yucky from being so wet and yucky, (even with the ponchos) That rain was no joke. We sat and ate our burger while a young child next to us screamed, and screamed and screamed some more. Wow. The parent was absolutely numb to it, the kid just screamed on the top of his lungs like he was getting paid good money for it! I didnt mind, the burger was good.
There was a lot of hype about my next meal, Le Cellier. I calmly explained to Dfi that the food there is has be hailed as Exquisite! Yummy! Fabulous! Scrumptious! (Just to name a few) by the DIS. Im a big beef eater (I think you noticed that), so what could go wrong?
Well, fortunately nothing went wrong! It was absolutely fabulous! I was seated in Ontario, and was told some fun fact about there, We had Craig as our server, and he asked us where we were from, we told him ny, he said he was coming here next week, great! I hope he missed the record breaking snow storm ah well
Yes! Back to the food. We both ordered the prime rib (thats really blurry to me, but im pretty sure we did) Well done, with an app of Caesar salad and we really wanted strawberry coladas (virgin of course, we are in the minority of non drinkers) They did not have any, the closest they had was berry daquiris We had never tried that before, I scrunched up my nose to the whole Berry idea, but agreed anyway.
We got out pretzel bread etc, and it was good. What a great idea that pretzel bread. Then came the berry daquiris Holy smokes that baby was good!! I finished that baby right down the last sip. It was wonderfully fabulous. I am so glad Craig suggested it, you rock Craig!
Next came the Caesar salad which was really really good, I ate half; I wanted to make room for the beef. Dfi ate all, he was smitten. It was perfect, not too much dressing, nice fresh leaves of lettuce, it was well fabulous.
The entrees arrived and we were very excited to take our first bite. My first bite was heaven, it was perfectly cooked, seasoned to absolute perfection, and the potatoes were great as well. We both cleaned our plates!
For dessert, we had the smores thingie and the chocolate mousse to go, very cute, we only got to take one bite out of the mousse but the smores thingie was very very good, I likey.
Craig, our server, was wonderful! We left him another 15% on top of the dp tip, he was so attentive and well perfect. I can appreciate good service. 2ts
Next time Whispering Canyon Café, 50s Prime Time Diner.
