My Fabulously Fabulous Dining Report With Pictures 2/1 - 2/7 Day Four Added 2/27

Hey everyone, thanks for the attention I’m an only child, its always welcomed.

SO! Day Three of our eating spree commences with Old Port Royale…This was chosen out of pure convenience, I purposely left a few Breakfasts open without ADRs so that we could choose freely what ever we craved, we chose Old port Royale because it was raining cats and dogs and it was sO cOLD we didn’t want to park hop, knowing we were going to epcot for the day…My dis database isn’t so developed that I knew of anywhere in epcot for breakfast so to end my rambling finally…we arrived at old port royale.

The food was yucky :crazy2: …Oh…my…I am such a breakfast food person, I love breakfast! I can eat breakfast all day long. (I have done it before, IHOP is about 1 mile away from my house) The eggs were yucky, the bacon…im still not sure it was bacon…the potatoes were OK, lukewarm…French Toast…well you get the picture…eww … It looked really good when we first got it, looks are deceiving! I’m so mad we wasted 2 cs…Maybe something else, something made to order instead of being mass produced, would have been better tasting…It didn’t help that I was still fantasizing about Cinnamon French Toast from CP…*sigh*

Lunch @ the Electric Umbrella. Surprise! Double bacon…Cool place…while we were there we were kind of feeling yucky from being so wet and yucky, (even with the ponchos) That rain was no joke. We sat and ate our burger while a young child next to us screamed, and screamed and screamed some more. Wow. The parent was absolutely numb to it, the kid just screamed on the top of his lungs like he was getting paid good money for it! I didn’t mind, the burger was good.

There was a lot of hype about my next meal, Le Cellier. I calmly explained to Dfi that the food there is has be hailed as Exquisite! Yummy! Fabulous! Scrumptious! (Just to name a few) by the DIS. I’m a big beef eater (I think you noticed that), so what could go wrong?

Well, fortunately nothing went wrong! It was absolutely fabulous! I was seated in Ontario, and was told some fun fact about there, We had Craig as our server, and he asked us where we were from, we told him ny, he said he was coming here next week, great! I hope he missed the record breaking snow storm…ah well…

Yes! Back to the food. We both ordered the prime rib (that’s really blurry to me, but im pretty sure we did) Well done, with an app of Caesar salad…and we really wanted strawberry coladas (virgin of course, we are in the minority of non drinkers) They did not have any, the closest they had was berry daquiris…We had never tried that before, I scrunched up my nose to the whole Berry idea, but agreed anyway.

We got out pretzel bread etc, and it was good. What a great idea that pretzel bread. Then came the berry daquiris… Holy smokes that baby was good!! I finished that baby right down the last sip. It was wonderfully fabulous. I am so glad Craig suggested it, you rock Craig!

Next came the Caesar salad which was really really good, I ate half; I wanted to make room for the beef. Dfi ate all, he was smitten. It was perfect, not too much dressing, nice fresh leaves of lettuce, it was… well… fabulous.

The entrees arrived and we were very excited to take our first bite. My first bite was heaven, it was perfectly cooked, seasoned to absolute perfection, and the potatoes were great as well. We both cleaned our plates!

For dessert, we had the smores thingie and the chocolate mousse to go, very cute, we only got to take one bite out of the mousse…but the smores thingie was very very good, I likey.

Craig, our server, was wonderful! We left him another 15% on top of the dp tip, he was so attentive and well…perfect. I can appreciate good service. 2ts

Next time…Whispering Canyon Café, 50s Prime Time Diner.

Great review so far. I'm getting hungry for my April trip. Cheeseburgers for all.

Can I ask if you gained anything on this trip? :rotfl2:

I gained 10 lbs on the DDP last September. MOO. But worth it lol

And one more question, are you saying if I order a "virgin" pina colada, it's free on the dining plan??? VERY good to know if that's true.

Superdiz --

Yes! I totally gained weight! I gained like 7 lbs, ugh! but i've been going overtime double hard at the gym, only 3 more to go! I think I would have gained more if I wasn't walking and running so much! My quads were screaming at me every night I got back to CBR.

And yup! the drinks were definitely included on the plan, only thing we paid out of pocket for was the extra tip.

great Le Cellier pictures. salad and steak looks so good. i might have to try that drink, too!

Did you run while on vacation? I'm going in May to the Boardwalk and I plan to use the gym to offset my eating!! :rotfl: I want a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and mayonaisse too!! LOL

Unfortunately I did not run @ cbr (except for the buses daily) I was too afraid of not finding my way back! {That place is big!)

However, next year I may rent points to stay @ the boardwalk! They have an awesome jogging path. :) :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your reviews, I love the pictures. Looking forward to the rest. :tigger:

Next we have Breakfast @ Whispering Canyon Café. I knew what to expect as far as antics and all that. But what I didn’t expect was how gorgeous the Wilderness Lodge is! What a cozy place!

We were seated about 15 after our ADR time. We were towards the front of the restaurant. Our server was very quiet and nice (that’s how we like em) It seemed that mostly groups got all of the jokes and stuff played on them. I knew not to ask for ketchup (or even steal some from another table!) The antics were really, not as loud as I expected, but funny. Like this one lasy who asked for soda (I’m sorry but I can’t fathom soda @ 9am IMO) The server yelled out “This is her 8th soda, you don’t wanna get in the pool with THIS lady!!” Hilarious.

On to the food, the food was really good, we both had the all you can eat skillets, and the eggs were very yum, the bacon was perfect, the biscuit was OK (not a big biscuit person unless its from KFC lol) and the potatoes were pretty good, we both got a side of wheat toast which was ..well.. toast!  I truly loved the eggs and bacon, I had 3, yes THREE refills of eggs and bacon it was just so yummy, and it WAS all you can eat right?? Even Dfi looked at me crazy.

We paid outta pocket for this one, we had a lotta TS planned. I’d go back again….for the eggs 

Next up we have 50s prime time café…I really really liked this place. We had spent the say @ MGM after WCC and by 5pm It was getting really, really really cold outside. We were ill prepared for the cold. All of our hoodies and stuff were at the resort. We made up our minds that we were gonna get out of there early, go back to the resort and head over to PI so we could ring in my birthday @ 12am.

We had an ADR for 6pm but we were hungry @ 5. We checked in, and waited 20 minutes for a seat. (I didn’t mind, the sofas were comfy) I like the whole theming of this place its really really cute. We decided to split a TS here, since Dfi wasn’t really hungry. We got the (famed) onion rings, which I devoured and then looked at the greasy paper a remembered I hadn’t taken a picture!! (sorry) but it was really really good. I mean, great! I was tempted to take some to go!

We ordered a milkshake as our drink, the vanilla, it was very very very yummy, I hadn’t had a milkshake in years.

We ordered the Pot roast for the entrée. Yowza! It was So SO SOOOO good!!!!! I was so pleasantly surprised!! The meat was so soft and nice it just melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes were fabulous as well! The combination was just perfect! I can’t say enough on how good this meal was. Our server was great too, just like WCC, she was into her role but not over the top.

For dessert, We ordered the angel food cake, which wasn’t in the cute dessert viewfinder…

But instead on the initial menu given. It was so so so good, man! Just looking at this picture is enough for me to start drooling!
