I am in the "I am not going to give a code or pin for which I did not get an email or snail mail code for" club. Not flaming, I would be a nervous wreck if I felt I had deceived anyone.

Last Friday in the midst of the ballywho about the offer I called to see if it was associated with my address and was told it was not, so I didn't book.

Today I got on here and was green with envy about these offers so I figure I would call once a week until I got something or a public code came out.

I called and got on the phone with CRO today and asked if there was any deal I could use. They asked when we were planning to go, and I was not sure, so gave her 9/22-9/27 as a possible date. She put it in the computer and said she could do All Star Music standard then for 40% off and with dining and base ticket would make it 1580.00 which is $100 more than our stay last year at Movies, so I asked about Movies, and all they have is perferred there and I decided to add hoppers, which made it 1798.64. She said it is available because September is slow.

I gave no code and did not specifically ask about the 40% off. I hope this helps others.

I really do think it's all the same deal...regardless of saying "I want to use this code" or "are there any discounts that can be applied to my reservation?"

I think it's all a semantics game and if you feel less worried wording it one way over another, then go that route.

I find it hilarious that there has been such an UPROAR over all this. It's like being in the school yard again with kids shouting "It's NOT FAIR" b/c they didn't think of it first!:rotfl: There is always the conspiracy theory floating around, inflated by :stir: and speculation...

I wish everyone could just BREATHE a bit...relax...all is well...:grouphug:

Did you get a discount?

Ditto...I did not offer a specific code, I asked if there were any deals I was eligible to receive for the dates we had already booked. I was offered two - one for room only, one for free dining. The CM's did not mention a pin, they only said that I was "eligible" to receive the discounts.

You were "eligible" because you had a pin attached to your name.

But I have no e-mail, and I have no postcard...so what should I do if they are demanding this upon check-in (as a number of people have said they will)??

No, calling and saying, "here is a code (that I got off a website but was not actually sent to me), apply it to my reservation" is vastly different than saying, "is there a discount?". I was fully prepared to walk away if there was no discount, like I did last Friday.

I do not think ill of those that went around the system, I was just pointing out, perhaps in an inflammitory way that I did not in any way, shape or form set out to use a code I didn't get through proper channels.

My post was not a commentary on others, I was under the impression that it might be a general code now.

that is wheat I did, I already had a ressie inthe system and when I called I asked if there was any code or discount that could be applied. They gave me 40% off.

Well just have to wait and see
