My experience: Mine Train following early BOG breakfast

We had an 8:10 reservation for BOG this morning. Got out of the restaurant at 8:45 and headed to Mine Train. I was prepared to have to wait behind the "rope drop crowd" but we were lead to the FP line. They let is in at 8:52, right before the herd of people came running to the standby line. We were done at 9:02 and the wait was 45 minutes. I don't know if that was normal, but we were thrilled!

On another note, we really enjoyed our breakfast. I would do it again for sure.

It's a test for 90 days that was to end June 18th but I see it has been extended.

Yes, I think it let me go up to around July 18th now.

I think $20 for breakfast and an opportunity to get on the mine train is a steep price. Having said that I haven' t eaten breakfast there so for some people it may be worth it.

I hope they make it permanent and I can do it end of August! Mine Train is cute, but I wouldn't wait much for it. Having a nice relaxing breakfast instead of standing by the main gate and then strolling right into Mine Train and then having the park basically to myself for an hour while everyone waits for that and A&E sounds like a perfect morning! By noon I'd be ready for some pool time at Jambo!

A post on the restaurants board is reporting that BOG breakfast is now available to book up to 90 days in advance!
So, now we have the 180 window, the 90 window, the 60 window .... I think it's a plot to get us to have Disney on the brain year round!

ETA - hmmm - just tried to see if July 24th was available ... No good, the latest it goes is July 18th. I guess it'll be unreliable like the old lunch FP until they get it worked out.

Thanks for the report! We have an 8am adr for this on our next trip. We're going back and forth between riding SDMT or getting to the A&E m&g. It's nice to get first hand reports on how it's working.

It was always a 90 day window and stated as such when it began. When they first allowed booking it went to 90 days out. Now that we are 30 days in they added another 30 days. Until they finally decide if they want this breakfast to stay and to be QSDP I imagine they will keep doing this. It may be just to handle summer crowds, who knows.

But it's not quite 90 days, that would be July 24th - and it's only allowing ADRs up to the 18th....

I think what was meant was when the original announcement came, it was 90 days out from that date which was June 18. Once the first 30 days passed, they extended it another 30 days, which is now July 18. Assumption is, when this 30 days is up, they will open up until Aug 18. But they could decide to make it permanent or change it altogether. No guarantees at this point since it is still a test.

Exactly how I read it.

The website says "Breakfast reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance." Up to meaning there is no commitment that this will be available 90 days from any given day.
