My Elsa dress arrived w/an EXTRA dress!

OP, I posted this question on another thread, but just in case you don't see it over there...how did you find out the Disney site would be releasing the dresses last week again? I don't mind to get up at 2 a.m. once to get a dress for my little girl, but to hunt each night at 2 a.m. not knowing when/if they will release them won't work out with me getting up to go to work each day. Please tell me you didn't randomly check every night at 2 in the morning. I don't think I can do that. Just hoping to find a way to get an idea of when their next release will be. Thanks for the help!

If you checkout the Disney Store online Facebook page people give out tips. That was actually the one & one time I have done that because of those tips. I hope you can find one!

I have to be honest the temptation of keeping an extra Elsa dress that everyone was wanting was hard to resist at first thought, but I just couldn't do it.

I finally talked to Disney Store online CM (after a few attempts) just a few minutes ago & they will have UPS come pick it up because of limited stock. That way the little girl who it was ordered for can receive it & won't receive a cancellation. I know I did nothing wrong, but now I feel like my conscience is clear. lol

You are a really good person. :)

The two outside dresses are the 7/8s & the middle 5/6.

Could you please post the link to the fb page you are referring to. When I search Disney Store on FB, it comes up with a lot of them. Thank you!

We got 3 Frozen DVDs from Amazon and only ordered 1. They told us to keep them as well. My 2 extra DVDs came in a different package, and showed an "order date" that was nowhere close to when I ordered the other one and didn't have a name on it.

This fall, I ordered the Minnie coat and has my daughter's name embroidered on it. I also ordered her the Minnie Christmas dress.

We ended up getting 2 dresses, 2 coats with her name on it, and one coat with another name on it.

They told us not to worry about it. The extra coat actually came in handy because the zipper eventually broke on her first one. We donated the extra dress and coat.

I was thinking...about these sickening prices on eBay...didn't Disney once have a policy in which folks couldn't sell their products for over price value? Couldn't remember...too bad they don't do that now! Just think of all the happy little girls who would then magically have their wishes granted if Disney would shut them down ;)

I'm sure you're going to find another deserving little girl :goodvibes

It would be nearly impossible for Disney to have any control over this and it certainly isn't cost effective for them to even try. It would be nice if there was a way to control the prices on those really high demand items on the resale market that people will pay almost anything to get. Can't even imagine how frustrating this would be for parents.

I don't think something like this would be legally binding. Disney can do things like limit sales per person to help prevent bulk buying for resale or refuse to sell to resellers (if they can determine who they are), but (at least in the US) first-sale doctrine basically says that if you legally acquire something you can do what you want with it afterwards. Disney has no recourse for someone buying an Elsa dress and then selling it for 10x what they paid.

Once a consumer purchases an item, they are free to whatever they wish with that item.

On the mobile site when you scroll down under the first picture it will say something like 56 people posted on this page recently. Click on that even if the picture is The Muppets or something other than Frozen & most of the posts are always about Frozen. You don't have to have a Facebook account to look at this because because I dot have one. They are also not always right because a few people said the we spouse to up date this Monday at 12:00am PST & they didn't. Good Luck!

Kudos to the OP for trying to do the right thing and send it back. And also to those of you who are trying to donate what Disney won't take back.

The Disney Store has absolutely NO Quality Checks in their warehouse and their customer service is HORRIBLE.

On Thanksgiving night I ordered 4 sets of Frozen PJ's for my 4 nieces (4 sisters) for Christmas. When I placed the order every size I ordered said it was in stock. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and only 3 sets of PJ's were in there. Naturally I called Disney Store customer service and they were absolutely worthless. They were out of the size I needed (of course) and refused to try and help me find the correct size at an actual Disney Store. I said can't you call some of your stores to try and help me find the size I need?? The CM was incredibly rude to me and basically said you are out of luck, you will have to call the stores yourself. We can refund your money or send you a different size and that is it. I even asked to speak to a supervisor and when she finally came on the line, she was just as rude.

I ended up sending an email to Customer Service telling them that I no longer believed in Disney Magic and that it was appalling to me that after all the money I had spent in that store and in their parks that they couldn't help me after they were the ones responsible for the mistake?

Eventually, I received an email from customer service telling me that "Anna & Elsa found the size I needed" and they were shipping it to me that day. (Mind you, this was after I had already placed a bid on ebay for the PJ's, thank god someone outbid me!) I wonder where this size was when I was on the phone asking for their help?!

In the end the Disney Store did make it right, but only after I raised a stink.

Sorry for the mini rant, but when I saw this post I had to chime in.

I hope everybody is able to score an Elsa dress with no problems!!!!! Good luck!!!
