My DW & 2 DD's just checked in...

My DW & 2 DD's just checked in to the GF. I sent them there as a Spring Break Surprise. I couldn't go this time because of professional responsibilities...

We are all going back for 14 days in July.

Anyway, they report that the CM at the GF reception told them that MK and AK are at capacity today and that only WDW Hotel Guest could get in now.

They are going to go to DTD after swimming and dinner and catch a movie...one of our favorite things to do on our first day there!

Oh..the joys of Spring Break! (I still wish I were there even with the crowds!)

They are at Phase 2. They haven't closed the parks yet.

Wow! What a great DH you are...my DH doesn't like to go, and grumbles when DD(14) and I decide to go! But, he's basically a good guy, and after registering his complaint, gives in!

We will be at the Poly tomorrow - I knew by the packed resorts that this week was gonna be a doozy!!

I was stunned to read your post about the crowds capacity at MK, etc. .


Is it because Florida schools are closed this week rather than next week? If not, what's the reason?

I hope that doesn't happen when we're there in November.

Great present! I took only my son on our January trip and he and I had a great time!

We leave in seven days... I know its going to be crazy there; I think I am prepared! If it gets too busy, we're at AKL so downtime won't be a problem at all!

We are fortunate that we can go several times annually. We always take at least one trip with all four of us and sometimes we go with just me & DW..(Our DD's are highschoolers and sometimes it is impossible to go all together)..and sometimes we both take just our girls.

SeeDisney, you should be fine in November. There are a lot of schools on Spring Break.

WDW LifeLong Fan, I was adding what I knew about MK today. I just got back from MK and it was crowded in certain areas. The line for Space Mountain was the longest I had ever seen. The signs were saying 40 min. waits but I bet it was longer than that.

Would the dolphin count as a disney resort?

Both the Swan and Dolphin are considered Disney resorts in this instance. You also get early entry, and can purchase Enight tickets when available! You're going to love your visit to the Dolphin!

I don't know about Florida schools being closed this week but most if not all of the schools here in Atlanta, which I see is where WDW Lifelong Fan is from, are on Spring Break this week. Traffic sure was nice driving in to work today. Now I see why, everyone is at WDW.

It's central GA's spring break as well. I hate it that they have spring break Easter Week - we have to be home for Easter Sunday! Especially when you consider graduation is 5/21 having spring break 5 weeks before school gets out doesn't make sense!

But DD graduates in 5 weeks - so I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore!! The colleges all do them in March!
