I Meet my DVC guide, Mark, in 97 when I toured BWV. I then purchased a resale OKW after building up confidence here at the Dis. Then I bought Vero Beach from Disney with the help of guide Mark Webb in 1998. The addiction grew into AKL, POLY and Grand.

Mark was a Senior DVC Guide. I am sure he will do a great job as a DVC Resale agent. Pretty useful that he knows a lot about the DVC having worked there since the 90's. I think his web site just opened today and might have a couple kinks still , I had to call Mark and get my log in corrected, wanted to congradulate him for his retirement and new adventure also.
If interested in a resale here is the web site
www.dvcsales.com

Or if that is not allowed to be listed here you can pm me.

I've heard about him. I think its great he is doing his own thing. Just a heads up that I saw someone was reporting him to DVC for taking their contact information with him when he left. It was on one of the Facebook groups. I hope it all works out for him though.

I hope it all works out for him too, he is a good guy. DVC sent a card out stating that my guide had retired and was transitioning into a new role. I first wondered if this resale company was part of Disney. Sounds like they know of his new adventure and are fine with it. I am happy to have a resale agent I have met and have done business with. I have also bought from the company that sponsors this site and that also worked out fine.

I will also still consider buying from Disney still if the price is what I am willing to pay, not likely if it keeps going up. When you do the calculations some resales are to high per point per year. Mark did say I could tell him what I am willing to pay and if and when available he would give me a call. I think his closing cost may be less than others are charging.

The title companies charge the closing fees, not the resale agent...

Seems to be a popular thing to do, guides reselling DVC. I have been told that Disney isn't very happy with the idea.

This website now has quite a few listings. So you believe this seller to be thoroughly trustworthy? The licensed broker's name at the bottom of the page is actually different from the name mentioned above. Tks.

Easily fixed by paying guides better. (I know, I know.) The only reasons would be better compensation and/or work hours; probably both.

I'm sure they love the fact that one of the featured guides in the promo video now works with dvcresalemarket.com. :smooth:

I think these resale companies have one licensed broker, and then a staff of salespeople. So I don't think this is an issue.

I note on their listings page they have Bay Lake Tower listed as "Bay Lake Towers". Maybe I'm being picky, and as a BLT owner I find this particularly off putting but I have to wonder, are they this sloppy with their real estate contracts?
