Okay, so I got left with a little time on my hands and decided to put together my ultimate, money is no object, dream Disney trip.

It would start where it all began, of course, at the original Disneyland, staying at the DLH. I'd spend a few days taking it all in, then fly 5 hours or so to Orlando. Disneyworld would take a little more time of course, with 4 parks and 2 waterparks to explore. And then there's the question of where to stay....the contemporary, with the monorail running through it, the gorgeous looking Grand Floridian? I'm not a deluxe hotel addict so even the new pictures of the Art of Animation suites look pretty amazing, hmmm...might have to do a split stay.

Then its an eight hour or so hop across the ocean to DL Paris for a few days. From what I can see on the website the Disneyland hotel seems to be the obvious choice there. It's got two parks, so that will take a few days. Next is the longest flight of the trip, 11 hours direct from Paris to Hong Kong. HK Disneyland is the smallest park, so it won't take too long to explore, but I'll probably need a couple of days to rest anyway. Once again, the DL hotel looks like the best choice there.

Next stop depends on whether my dream is occurring before 2015 or after. If its later, I'll then take the 2 1/2 hour flight to Shanghai and check that park out. If not, its a 5 hour flight to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. If you've never looked at pictures of Tokyo Disney on the website you really shoud check it out. Amazing! It will be a tough choice there between the DL Hotel and the one that's actually inside the DisneySea park. Maybe I'll have to try both.

Lastly, a final 10 hour flight to back to Los Angeles and a second stop back at the original park.

And there it is. My ultimate Disney dream trip. If I only did the Disney parks it would take about 20 days (not including Shanghai.) However, since Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo are all pretty amazing places in their own right, I probably wouldn't rush right through. I'm thinking I'd maybe add a week each in Paris and Tokyo, plus 3 or 4 days in Hong Kong to make the whole trip about 6 weeks or so.

And no, I didn't price it out. Why ruin the fun with reality? pixiedust:

Disney cruise? Brilliant idea!

If I backtracked to Galveston I could do the westbound transatlantic to Europe, or I could just add a week long Caribbean cruise to my Orlando time. Or I could try to get Disney cruise lines on board with my own dream to offer a RTW itinerary that took in all the parks in one trip!

(it would add a bit of time to the trip, but that's a sacrifice I would be willing to make!)
