I had put them on the basement steps to go to our pantry, and closed the door, but I guess not all the way, as she was able to open the door and get to the crackers.

But she didn't eat just the crackers.... She ate the BOX and some of the sleeves from the crackers... called the vet and she said not to worry unless the dog can't "go" between now and tomorrow.

Now what am I gonna do for my Super Bowl party? ;)

you have tomorrow!

Be glad they weren't graham crackers! When my dog was a puppy one of my DD's friend left the whole box of graham crackers sit outside by the fire, they were making smores and in the dark no one noticed the puppy eating the whole box. Shall we say my DD got up quite a few times thru the night that night and the next morning, plus the yard scooping that week was quite messy!

 BTDT
 My dog has a very sensitive GI tract. A little too much of the wrong thing and we're wiping pudding poop off the grass.:rotfl2:

Just make sure it comes out the other end. Since you're going to have to be looking, feed her some crayons so at least it's pretty!! :rotfl:

If you do not replace that box of Ritz Crackers before the Superbowl party, everyone will be talking about your party on Monday. :sad2: No one is going to believe that sad story that your dog even ate ALL the evidence, including the box? :sad2:

Don't expect people to show up next year. You'd better go get a new box, pronto!

Not if the dog is a labrador retriever ;) Ours loves Ritz and I'm sure he's consumed the wrappers in the past (it passes), but I don't think he's eaten the box. He likes to eat whole loaves of bread, especially potato rolls. All bread goes in the fridge to keep away from him.

Well look on the brightside: At least it wasn't a sock! My dog eats those every chance he gets! Somehow everything always turns out alright. He either throws it up or poops it out. Pretty gross huh?!?! One time he also threw up a penny, a hair tie and a washcloth. You'd think he would stop eating these things as he knows it will make him sick but he insists!

It is a yellow lab.... if it's edible, she will eat it... and if not, she will probably eat it if it smells like food.

My dog is a boxer and he's eaten half a pumpkin, numerous marshmallows and a pair of Barbie pants. My vet's receptionist says she always gets a laugh out of him.

My dog has better taste. I spent $4000 for emergency surgery after he snagged a bacon wrapped appetizer with a toothpick securing it. For bacon, a small dog moves like a ninja.

Feed it a bowl of dip and you are covered.
:lmao:

A box of crackers is nothing. My dog's favorite food is TV remote control units. She also likes Loving Family dolls, stuffed animals, and sheetrock. She also loves the jewel cases from CDs. In a pinch, she'll eat the actual disk, but she'd rather have the case. Mmmm, shards of sharp, brittle plastic.

Our dog likes to eat paper towel, underwear, littlist pet shop toys, and he sticks his head in the cat box and eats out of that:confused:oh and another favorite is the garbage
the cats- I have to hide all my hair ties- ponytail holders- the cat will take them, even digs for them in my bag and play with them.:confused3 I find them on the floor, the counter, under the bed, everywhere- they get bored and stop playing and leave it wherever!

My husband once thought it would be a good idea to leave a whole brand new bag of mini snickers on the floor in his room (where he keeps all his clothes and stuff, I let him sleep in my room ;) ) and while we were gone that day the red dog found the bag and ate every single snicker INCLUDING wrapper but 2. We think those 2 are the only ones that our black dog managed to snag while red was eating. Needless the say our back yard was full of gold shiny wrappers for about a week. No kids so no need to pick up the poo. That husband of mine is hard headed and not long after left something else edible out in her reach. She's a sneaky one my red dog. She's also eaten a large piece of saran wrap she dug out of my parent's trash can and a few paper towels that I had to "help" her get rid of, yeah being a dog owner is awesome. We now have a tall trash can with a lid because she got to the point that as soon as we walked out the door she was on her hind legs digging for goodies, got tired of cleaning up after that mess. Dang dogs!

My dog eats headphones.. any kind, all kinds. My kids even got those Old Navy Techno Hoodies with headphones and my dog got to the sweatshirts as well. He normally doesn't do anything with clothes but the headphones were just too hard to resist.

My dog is a snowflake.:cloud9: Due to my obviously superior pet parenting skills, my snowflake doesn't eat any of those things. :rotfl2:

Just kidding.;) My dog really is a snowflake, though. I helicopter parent him.:rotfl2: (Remember, I was the one willing to cancel my vacation because I didn't want to kennel my snowflake)

After reading about all these odd things your dogs eat, it makes me really appreciate him all the more. He eats his food & his treats & that's it. Well, he chews his toys to death but he's a German shepherd, so that's expected.:)

I taught my cat to fetch with hair ties - she loved it. Great Exercise for the cat.

Ha! Mine's a yellow lab too. We had a black one for a couple of years, and he had a spot he'd go to when he had something he knew he wasn't supposed to have. I don't think he had as bad of a habit stealing food stuff, but he'd find other things....like crabapples in the yard (oh what a mess!).

I hope you dog is okay! My dog got into 2 of the Terry's Chocolate Oranges - you know the ones that come out at Christmas and break into "orange slices"? I came home and the boxes were shredded but the tin foil wrapper was all unwrapped nicely and left in the middle of the floor :rotfl: It looked like someone helped her open the tinfoil, it was done so neatly. This dog can also open water bottles without leaving a single tooth mark on the bottle or lid.

My dog destroyed a TV remote control because my DH was eating Fritos and watching TV the night before. Guess BBQ Frito smell permeated the remote and it was too tempting to resist. Anyway, the remotes get put on a shelf now.
