My dog can read the clock!

Add our herding dog to the brilliant dogs list! For years, we would be home to put her out and feed her at 5pm, but our schedules changed over 2.5 years ago. Now we feed her around 6pm. On weekends though, she starts pacing by the door around 4:45pm. And every night at 9pm, she starts pacing again, telling us it's time to go potty. We get the stare first, and then the pacing. It's amazing how animals sense the time.

I dog Missy can tell time like many dogs (especially when it involves food! :rotfl: ) but she can also tell days of the week somehow.

I got her at age two from a friend of a friend that lost her home and couldn't keep her. Her former owner didn't allow her on the furnature. I don't care if pets are on my furnature and always let Missy know she could jump on the bed or couch, which she would after I invited her. But as far as I could tell, she wouldn't get up there if I didn't give permision first.

Well, finally I noticed that once in a while I'd come home from work and she'd be on the couch, sleeping. "Good girl!" I'd tell her. Then I noticed that she only seemed to be on the couch on Thursdays. Never any other day of the week. That continued until I started working from home, now she won't get on the couch at all. Some how it got into her fuzzy little head that she would allow herself to break "the rule" about being on the furnature one day a week, and for some reason she picked Thursdays. But only if I wasn't home!

Strange, strange dog...

ours are like that also, for meals... and they like to go out immediately after.
But fortunately they also like to sleep late!!
