My Disney weeks weather forcast looks a bit gloomy

For those that live in Florida or frequent it more than I do . . . Does/Can the weather change from what is forecasted at the drop of a hat? We will be arriving on Friday. For Saturday and Tues it is calling for rain. I thought December was suppose to be the driest month? My question I guess is for Sat it is suppose to rain 90% according to The Weather Channel app. can this change or is it pretty accurate? I mean I know weather changes but that is pretty strong that it is going to be wet. But what do you do?

A rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at work . . anyday!!

I usually go in January/February and I've learned not to trust the forecast until maybe the day before. Florida weather changes at the drop of a hat. I actually really don't mind when it rains because it keeps crowds down a bit. Buy your overpriced plastic poncho and bring extra dry socks with you and you'll be fine.

I live close to the mouse and I never trust weather forecasts more than an hour in advance. It can be raining cats and dogs at my house and clear skies at WDW. Don't even listen to the weather forecasters.

Statistically, November is the dryest month. After going in November the last few years, rain this time of year tends to be the light/drizzly all day kind which IMO is more manageable than the downpours you see in the summer, even though they are short. Obviously, there's exceptions but I wouldn't be too concerned. Plus, I'd say you're still too far out to rely on the forecast at all. Fingers crossed for you!

I live right behind MK, and yes the weather can change at the drop of a hat it seems. I don't really trust anything more than a day in advance, and sometimes even that's incorrect. We haven't had a lot of rain recently, but it seems like when it does rain it rains and rains. A few days before Thanksgiving we had quite a bit of rain with tornado warnings.

I was there from 12/2 - 12/9 and we had several gloomy and rainy days. In fact, when I got there on 12/2 it showed only a 20% chance of rain for that day and it rained torrentially all the way from the airport to the resort and for a couple of hours after that. Started raining again during Illuminations. Also, it drizzled heavily ALL DAY 12/8. Still better than December of 2010 when it dropped into the 30/40s daily while I was there.

Seems there is always a change of rain in central Florida - I think the forecasters just keep it in there to cover their butts in case it does rain.

We've been going this time of year for years, and rain has never been a consideration for us. Certainly not like the expected downpours of summer, for sure. Sometimes more of a light mist.

We were there 11/20-12/5 and there was one good afternoon of on/off rain that didn't clear until the next day. Other than that, it was fine and several of the days had a 40% chance of rain even though it never did.

Yes, the weather people are frequently wrong. 90% chance now, I would probably put it at 30% chance. Two weeks ago, the forecast was changing dramatically each day. Some days went from 80% to 40% forecasted that never had any rain.

One thing I learned this past trip, rain gear should not just include a poncho. Having rain resistant shoes is important too. During the big rains on 12/2, I was wearing my most comfortable running shoes. These soaked in the rain. I wish I would have had my leather Sketchers on instead.

Yes it can. Last week we were expecting mid 70s all week according to forecasts. Instead it was cloudy and cold, struggling to break mid 60s. I had 3 pairs of shorts and a swimsuit doing nothing but taking up space in my luggage.

We haven't had great weather lately. We had family visiting a few days for Thanksgiving that were expecting to escape from the cold. It was warm the day before they arrived, and warmed back up the day they left, but cold while they were here. It's so unpredictable. I would love to have a nice sunny day in the 80's right about now.

All the planning that goes into a trip and weather is the one thing that you can't plan for. I will try and not get too worried about it right now. Hopefully if it rains it will only rain for a little bit.

Well, it can't be worse than Sept. 2014 - especially the week I went where it rained all day except for one afternoon and one evening for 5 days.

That sure was an interesting food and wine festival - I learned how to eat one handed while holding an umbrella over the food with the other hand.

I think Orlando weather is very unpredictable. It can be raining in Epcot but just cloudy in the Magic Kingdom. So I'd bring some rain gear and good shoes for rainy weather so you'll be prepared but maybe since you will be prepared it won't rain at all!

Shuddering thinking of the Wine&Dine run this year. Rained starting in the corrals and except for a brief sprinkly bit as we were going through DHS it rained the WHOLE time.

I like a brief and strong storm over drizzly. I can get drizzle at home!

90% chance means there's that much of a chance it will rain *somewhere* in that area. Not everywhere. We've left a huge rainstorm at AK to encounter the wet ground but NO rain at MK. Everyone left MK during the rain so we got to park right up front at the TTC and the crowds were nice. Hope they didn't all head to AK!
