Have you had any success in getting a reservation within days or a couple of weeks prior to the day you want to go? If you went, would you say it was filled to capacity?I am thinking about doing this with my DD6, but would like to wait until I see what day DH is playing golf so that she and I have something special to do together while he is golfing. Has anyone had success in booking this close to the day you were going? Are we possibly too late already? Our trip is coming up the first week of August.

Personally I would rather have the reservation than not. I would try to make a reservation before hand you can always cancel. As far as last minute goes you could get lucky but the tea is pretty popular and the venue is small so the chances of that happening are pretty slim. I would rather be safe than sorry just call disney dining 407 wdw dine and see what is available today. You could always cancel as the day draws closer.

We go pretty often so if we miss out this trip, there's always the next trip. I'm not super worried about being shut out of it. Just curious if there's any chance we'll get in like that.

Anyone????

We have done the princess tea party twice. The first time (I thought would be the only time) we booked 3 months in advance. 18 month later we were returning to WDW, and I wold DD we wouldn't so it again as we already had the doll and the bracelet etc, so I couldn't justify the cost. Well she really wanted to go and kept mentioning it as our trip drew near. Finally two weeks before our trip (May 2008) I called and booked it. I was still able to get a reservation.

The only difference was that on the first trip we had a table for 2, but on the second trip we were seated with another family (of 3). I don't know if the booking time played a factor?

Both times we went all of the seats were filled - but maybe they only set out the exact number of seats? If you aren't worried about doing it this time and can go again, I wouldn't rush to make the ressie until you are sure.

I've just booked this a couple of days ago for end October.

I rang 2 weeks ago for details and the cm I spoke to said it usually books up 2 months in advance or so.

When I called back to book the different cm told me it was fully booked and the back up dates I tried were also fully booked. I couldn't believe this (it costs $260 paid in full when you book) and low and behold she managed to book for me on the date I wanted. I think there was a computer glitch initially or she was searching the wrong thing.

It is a 3 day cancellation policy.

I just called today for my reservation . I wanted to go 2 weeks from tomorrow and I got the reservation with no problem.
Just thought I would update this in case anyone is searching for the same info in the future.
