Michelle (34 year old friend) and Drew (Michelle's 4 year old son)

Yep, we went to WDW on Fourth of July, BUT we didn't even enter one park the entire day!

Left the house at 6:45am, hit the ATM and on our way to Ohana's. By the way, we live in Tampa, so we hit I-4 with no problems what so ever. :) Go to Ohana's just barely on time for our 8:40am PS, which I had called in on Friday night and took the latest time I could get. :)

Got to Ohana's, waited for about 20 minutes for our table to be ready. Goofy was near our table when we entered the dining area. Got the pictures and autograph, went well as well as Chip and Dale when they entered after we started eating. Mickey was pretty good too except he left a little early from our table so I didn't get a pic with him just Michelle and Drew. But I was happy I told the waitress at the end of our meal about it, she got the character assistant to help me get a picture and autograph with the big cheese. :)

The food was very tasty, Mickey waffles we nice and fluffy, eggs were light, bacon, sausage and homefries were great, too! Loved the fresh fruit, especially the pineapple. Oh, the Hawaiian bread was also delicious. Drew ate most of the bacon (had to order twice for refills of it!), but was happy when the characters came by. All in all a good meal, we were stuffed until about 3pm!

After that we went on the resort monorail, looked around the Grand Floridian's gift shop. Of course I had to mention to Michelle about the "front seat" so she just walked up there when we got to the MK stop. But there was already some one up there with her daughter so Drew and I stayed up there with them, Michelle just went back to our original seats. Doug was our pilot, very nice, we got to talking about Disney movies. Because I mentioned Ohana's, that lead to Lilo and Stitch, which lead to great movies of 2002 and 2003, then lead to the conclusion of bombs (bad movies) of 2004. I asked for our co-pilots licenses after our trip was over. Of course Michelle didn't relize why Doug was ticked at her ( just walking up, no asking or anything to ride in the front), so she thought he was a jerk when she joined us after the mom and daughter got off at the GF. After we had gotten back in the regular seats, I just happened to sit next to a DIS'er, robmary . I waited until after the next stop to ask her what I heard was correct, that she chatted on the DIS. :) Very happy to meet her and her family. She was the first person that I had met on this site in the World.

We got off at the TTC took the monorail to Epcot and went on for a round trip. Got back on the resort monorail and head for the Poly and got to see the pool and headed to the car (3 hours was almost up).

Next we headed to the Belz Outlet malls. Got lost once on the way there. But found it within 15 minutes of waiting on I-Drive. Hit both the Character Warehouse, Character Premiere and the Universal store. I spent about $25-$30 combined. :) Found some good finds, no $10 pin goody bags though! :(

We left there with no problems until we hit I-4 again trying to find our way to DTD (went East instead of West). Got on West but didn't have enough room to get off the exit only ramp to the turnpike, ended up getting on another toll road. But found our way to DTD finally!!! Went in the World of Disney store browsed around, found plenty of things I'll buy the next I'm there in August!!! :) Drew and Michelle were near Legoland playing. I looked around the shops, got my :bday: pin for when I'm there the next time and some Disney Dollars for Michelle's bday present. Got an Earl of Sandwich lemonade :). Saw the new Disney Tails, very cute. We ate McDonald's for dinner, then we looked around at the shops. Got inside Once Upon a Toy, Michelle found a family trivia near the Mr. Potato Head section. I looked around and filled it out, got all but 2 right, they TOLD me the answers to ones I got wrong. Michelle found another one I filled that one out and she turned it in:), they got a small Magic Moment certificate and 2 things of mini playdough. They gave her back the trivia so I got my bigger :)certificate and mini playdough at another register.

After that we went to the Scrapbook store and found the Dining kit and a cute Tink frame (stained glass'ish). The CM at the counter and I were talking about that we have the same checks (original Disney Classics I).

Off to Celebration for their fireworks, was about 6:30pm when we left DTD. Walked around, btw found it very easily since I knew it was on 192! Found the lake, some ice cream and my frozen chocolate covered banana. :) Only thing we didn't like was the two idiots behind us smoking cigars. Smelled :crazy2: Fireworks were great and very close! :)

Hope you enjoyed my report, if you could take it this far. Sorry! :(

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Hey! Not bad! Sounds as if you had a great day. I'm a little confused about why you didn't let the 4 year old and his mom go in the front of the monorail when it came (regardless of the fact that she went up without even asking)...or was this your first time at Disney riding up front in the monorail, too?

...moms really like that kind of "first experience" with their kids.

Michelle was able to go up in the front but she didn't really care whether or not it was me or her up in the front. Plus I didn't have enough time to tell her to get back to sit with Drew because the monorail was ready to leave.

PS- Michelle was in shock with all the info I've learned from this site, ie: co-pilot's license, Disney's Tail's opening, hidden pins, etc.
