I hoped there was maybe a FAQ for this but I don't see one on the boards. did a search first but can't find a good thread that has a lot of info in one place.

So I'll start here and hope I don't aggravate people who may have heard these questions dozens of times.

I have the MDE app and signed in under my account.

My son has an account and started the trip info on his account. He invited me to join his.

He made reservations for restaurants and I see them. we have two reservations at the Dolphin. I did not see that. He put in his two tickets and I saw that.

Now the fun begins. I put in the second Dolphin reservations and it asked me to link to friends. So I did - but they are all people he put in on his already. More confusing - I'm there twice - once as my account and once as the friend he set up.

I put in my two tickets and saw all four of them. His two, my two. Plus my one Dolphin and the three restaurants he made.

It all seemed to be fine - but then I messed up I guess. And I have no idea how.

Because now this evening I only see ONE ticket - and it's one for my son. And I have no friends linked. But I have two Dolphin reservations and all the restaurant ones.

Clearly we're tripping on each other - but how? Because we have two hotel reservations linked? Because we both have an account that is attempting to manage the same trip?

I have no idea. This needs to get settled before we make our FP+ requests. Since we're not going until July, we have time. But I'm seriously thinking we need to start over and have just one of us in charge of entering things.

Ask him for his MDX login so you can see what is linked there.

If Dolphin is linked there and your tickets are linked to you in his account, check if “you” in his account is managed by him. It may be that he’ll have to book the FPs but if you wanted to use a MB that’s linked in your account, you’ll probably have to call Disney to straighten it out.

Don’t worry about the ADRs. Names don’t have to match up as long as the correct check-in name is given upon arrival at the restaurant.

The app is notoriously glitchy. Try going to your My Disney Experience account from your internet browser.

I think MDE is having issues tonight. We have fast passes for 4 of us 2 weeks from now. 30 minutes ago it just showed my son and me on my account and my husband was separate (no longer linked) and our other son was totally missing. Now, 15 minutes later, all of our fast passes are gone and just gives us an error. This is on both our apps and desktop.

MDE is having technical issues right now. I would log in later and try again. (I have tried from both my iPhone app and from Chrome on my laptop.)

EDIT - apparently there are some tech problems this evening. So it may just be that.

I'll see what it looks like tomorrow. Still - it is a bit disturbing to hear from tech support that some people are missing Fast Passes tonight on the app.

EDIT again - and right after I hit "post" I see some kind people on here are telling me just what I heard.

Thank you.

@ww52
Some of your issues are probably going to be straightened out automatically once the current technical glitch is settled. These glitches occur now and again and often cause reservations, fastpasses, and tickets to disappear temporarily.
However, if two people have separate MDE accounts and they list one another as friends before they actually link via email friend request, you will end up with duplicate people. You can add people that you are going to manage (people who don't have their own account) without a problem but if the person has a separate account you need to add them by linking using the friend request. Since it sounds like you did both, and ended up duplicated, the only way to get that fixed that I know of, is to call Disney Technical Support. They'll fix it for you while you're on the phone.

Everything looks right in the app now. It was obviously the tech glitch last night - though I'm still confused about who can modify what on the app. The tech guy I talked to last night suggested the safest thing to do is just let the person who set up the trip in the app be the only person making changes.

We still have a lot of time before FP+ available - but I think we'll call tech at some point and get it in sync - as HurricaneHanna suggests.

And reading that name, I am picturing myself at the Beach Club having a snack and a drink on a hot day!

I had a similar situation, I called Disney and they were able to fix it all while I was on the phone with them. Thankfully before my FP window opens up. Seriously easier than trying to figure it out myself and I consider myself pretty tech savvy. She was trying to explain why some people were not linking, and the different types of accounts, but it still made no sense to me, so i’m Glad they were able to fix it! Good luck!

I resemble that remark (being tech savvy and still not getting it).

Curious what number you called to get it all in sync. Was it the guest services number (1936) or the tech support number (7765) or another one all together? If you don't recall, no big deal.

Thanks.

One of my favorite places in the world to be, obviously!

I used the 7765 number when I had this issue. I think it's officially called the Internet Help Desk.

I’m sorry I don’t Remember, I was just the regular number and I somehow go to help with my disneyexperience and linking tickets..the first person I talked to knew exactly what was going on, went into the account and fixed it right up!

Sorry if it's been discussed already... I keep getting an error on the app "Please Try Again We're having trouble loading this screen."

I've deleted the app and reinstalled, and still get the same message. Trip is coming up in a few weeks and I'm hoping for some help! Thanks!

App seems to be working fine today (Wed Jan 31 at 4:15 CST) on my phone and tablet - but still had a glitch last night.

I get that same error message on the app whenever I make a dining reservation. I just X it out and everything works fine. I have no idea why the message comes up every time but it's meaningless because everything works fine and once I X it out every thing loads fine. It's a mystery.

A new version of the app was released yesterday. I'm on Android - both a phone and a tablet.

VERY difficult time getting it loaded. I won't go through the details - but instead of being an upgrade like every other app is, it looks like a completely separate app. "Upgrading" gave me TWO MDX apps. Was NOT clear which one was which (different color of the icon). Deleting the old one triggered Android to upgrade the old one - which is only a message saying to load the new one. VERY amatuer - I assume they used interns on the cheap to do this.

After a lot of effort, ended up with only the new one on both devices.

It works fine on my phone.

It doesn't work at all on my tablet.

My takeaway is DON'T use the app if you can use the website instead.
