My Disney Experience app is it the same if you stay off property?

If staying off property, is using the my disney experience the same as if you were staying on property? As far as virtual ques, info, etc.

The app is the same for all but, you will not be eligible to purchase ILL$ at 7AM when onsite guests are eligible to book.
