My DIS-CON prize arrived today!

I was the winner of the 3 day/2 night stay at Buena Vista Suites in the drawing for DIS-CON registrants & have been waiting since then for my certificate. It arrived in the mail today.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that it has an expiration of June 30, 2003! Valid dates are 1/1/2003 to 6/30/2003. That pretty much elliminates Jan, since 2 wks notice are required for reservations. It also excludes Holidays, Special Events, & Peak Seasons, so that further limits when we can use it. While I do appreciate the certificate, I really do whis there was a little more flexibility as to when it can be used. Guess we'll have to be back in Orlando sooner than we'd planned.

Well the good news is you get back to WDW sooner than you thought. The bad news is...you HAVE to go to WDW sooner than you thought to use the prize!

Im glad to hear you got your info on your prize. I will be on the look out for mine too. I was trying to decide if we should try to go for a week the first of June or just wait til Oct so I guess this will help me make my mind up. Orrrrrr I could go both times

We're going to be house hunting.
Barry's appointment with the retirement board is in March!
Believe it or not, we will probably not spend much of any of our time in parks on this next trip - unless, of course, they let us stay in Cindy's castle for the nights we're not in the Buena Vista Suites!

Tell Barry congradulations on the up-coming retirement. He always has a smile going on but just watch how much bigger it will get after he retires. In our house we call it the "RETIREMENT SMILE" Dale now wonders why he worked so long---

Good luck with the check---I would as the bank to verify funds---then since it's the same banking institution ask that the funds be pulled directley from his account. This usually only works if the check is drawn on the same bank that is cashing it.

I was not aware you were having surgery---Had the same one done-- ---and life is good. I can eat spicey foods again!!!!! Hope you get feeling better soon. Hope to see you both next year---Your are both ----JUST THE SWEETEST-----

The best part of Barry's retirement is that when he retires I get to "retire" too!

As for the check, I finally was able to get to the bank with it today. I took it to First Union & asked them to verify it first, since my account there really belongs to a friend in a nursing home who I am responsible for. I can't use the account for my personal "stuff" since he is on state Title 19, amd any unusual deposits/withdrawals/bounced check fees, etc would be questioned. They told me there were sufficent funds in the account and cashed the check, no problem.

Now if these surgical incisions would just heal & my sinus infection would go away so I could stay up for more than a couple of hours without crashing, life would be great!

My voucher for Howard Johnson Inn Maingate East arrived in the mail today. Thank you WebmasterBob for sending it. I plan on calling tomorrow to extend our June vacation by a couple of days thanks to this prize.
