My DH left today...

He went to visit his family. They live in Syria, and he will be there for about a month. He has not been there in about five years. So I'm feeling lonely! Right now he is on a plane somewhere above the Atlantic ocean, they are supposed to arrive in Paris at about 6:30am EST. Then a five hour layover, and four more hours to Damascus. I'd like to go with him someday, but now was not the right time.

The good news is 1. Only one person to cook for. 2. Far less laundry. 3. No dirty socks or underwear to pick up off the bathroom floor.

But I think all those things are really nothing, and really, I just miss him and wish he were here.

Send me some hugs and well wishes, I will need them! Only 30 more days of this!

My DH works out of town so hes gone for 1 mth home for 2 weeks. It will get better, grab some girlfriends and hang out

I can sympathize. My wife had to go away for 12 days earlier this month while her mother recuperated from an operation to remove some cancer in her stomach. She was gone 1 day and I started feeling ill. At the 12 th day when she returned I had a full blown case of shingles. Lonliness is just not an empty space in your heart but is also a real physical blow to your body. I am going to shackle my wife so she cant leave again....with her prmission of course!!!

OP: I am curious...you did not go with him? I guess 30 days is a long time if it was work you were going to miss!

My Son (20yo) will leave me June 26th to fly to Greece to dig on the Island of Crete until Aug 30th when he flies to Scotland to study at the University of Glasgow until Jan 2007.....waaaa...my baby-doll, gone for SIX months!!!
