on his way to work. A woman driving an SUV hit a woman on a bike. The driver wouldn't stop the car and kept dragging the other woman's body. :( :( DH got out of his car, as well as other people, and were yelling at the driver to stop. Another driver drove his car around the truck to try to block its path. The driver did slow down, but kept driving and dragging the body.  DH says it was awful seeing all this happen and not be able to do anything to help the poor victim. :( :(

I hope that poor woman survives; just very sad and tragic.:( :( It's scary to think how her life changed in just a split second. :(

I hope the Jeep finally stopped or someone got the license plate #. How horrible.

Wow. My thoughts are with all. I think a student at DD's school was struck this morning as well. There was a police cruiser blocking the street two blocks from school and we couldn't go through and had to detour. They were opening the intersection after we dropped DD in front of school and I noticed a boy lying on the sidewalk. An ambulance wasn't yet on scene, so it couldn't have happened too much before we left home. We live about 3 blocks away and were running a few minutes late. If we'd have been on time we might have witnessed or even been involved.

Buzzlady, she did stop finally. It wasn't a hit and run. I don't think that the driver realized that she had hit someone.

:( I wonder why the driver wouldn't stop when there were so many people trying to get her to stop?

Oh dear :( I pray that the woman will be okay. I too wonder why they didn't stop sooner when all were trying to get her to stop.

I find that hard to believe. I've witnessed a car hitting someone on a bike. The driver can definitely tell that he/she hit someone or something.

The driver probably hadn't finished his/her cell phone call.

 That's horrible! I pray that the woman on the bike will be able to recover.
