Well, got to the Beach Club and decided on the Captains Grill located in the Yacht Club. This was by far, our worst TS restaurant. The staff was not welcoming at all and my ds has a nut allergy and I explained everything to the staff/and than the chef. Dh and I had the crab cakes for an appetizer, so so. Not much flavor, more breadcrumbs than crab. We both got the lobster sandwich, overcooked, very chewy. Both DS had the kids pizza and apples as a side. They both seemed to enjoy it. Dh and I didn;t have dessert and were told that desserts cannot be packed to go. The waiter came back and ploped down the brownie and marshmallow kabob kids dessert:eek: I remind the waiter that the chef said that that dessert has treenuts in it. So he takes away the dessert from the treenut allergic son who than cries because he doesn't understand why his dessert was taken away from him.
Overall food not good, service bad

Sorry you had such lousy service and food. We ate dinner there a few months ago and enjoyed it very much, but we didnt order any seafood.

Where else did you eat?

Our evening dinner was at Ohana's. It did not disappoint. It was our absolute favorite meal of the entire trip. So good that we made another ressie for later in the trip. The salad and bread was delicious, there is noodles(no longer topped with nuts, which is a good thing;) ) All meats were so tender and the shrimp was not as spicy as it was in April 2008. The broccoli was tender and had a slight garlic kick to them. The bread pudding was excellent as well. Oh, I forgot the wontons were good as well as the chicken. Service was excellent and we also enjoyed the atmosphere. Excellent!!!!

Tuesday Morning. Breakfast at the Cape May Cafe, buffet was good and plentiful. Many choices for breakfast. I especially loved the cheese blintzes they are topped with a caramel sauce and bananas, the breakfast potatoes were good and had lots of onions. Character interaction was great, a little slow since some diners feel that they are entitled to more than 15 minutes of character interaction,;) but we did get to see all the characters and they looked so cute dressed in their beach wear!! Great food, great service...

Tuesday Lunch, Hurricane Hanna at the Beach Club. Just alright, typical counter service. Kids had cheeseburgers and DH and I had the veggie wraps which were tasty.

Crystal Palace Dinner, Excellent food, excellent service. SO many choices here, everyone was a happy camper. The salmon was excellent and I especially liked the rotisserie chicken and the salads (Pasta and such were all very good) We all had the coconut flan and it was excellent as was the cheesecake.

Wed morning Ohana character breakfast, food was just alright but the great service, and festive dancing made up for it. Eggs were pretty runny, pototoes and bacon were good. Mickey waffles were a hit with the kids. I wouldn't have paid OOP for this, glad I got the deluxe dining. It was fun to go to a different character breakfast each morning and a good way to eat and wake up a little before hitting the parks. Kids loved it 'cause of Lilo and Stitch!!!

Wednesday Hurricane Hannah lunch. Grilled veggie wrap mmmmmmmmmm
Wedneday Dinner Coral Reef My kids absolutley loved it here. THey especially liked the Giant seaturtles and sharks!!! DH and I both got the Land and Sea appetizer which was like a beef kabob thingy and there was also a skewer of shrimp. It was very small. DH had the NY STrip steak and it was out of this world, I had a bite and it was SO tender and tasty. I had the salmon which was good, but IMO not as good as the steak!! Both kids had the pizza and ice cream sundaes and we had the Chocolate Wave-HEAVEN. So good,
Coral Reef had great service and great food. The aquarium entertained the kids and it was a wonderful meal. Kids are still talking about it,

Thursday AM-Chef Mickeys Breakfast, IMO the best character meal we had all week. The food was good and VERY fresh and there were a lot of choices. We all loved the breakfast pizza and the blueberry cheese blintzes. The bacon was crispy. Service was just ok but the characters were GREAT!! Kids were very excited to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy.
Thursday Pm A rainy, rainy night so we decided to stay in at the Beach Club and made a last minute ressie to go to Cape May Cafe Dinner. I cancelled the Kona Cafe. What a mistake!! Cape may cafe had few choices and I found all of the food pretty bland. The clam chowder was really good but other than that, the clams were overcooked and kinda dry. The only shrimp they had was cocktail shrimp that had to be peeled. Only fish was Fried Cod and we are not fried food lovers. The chicken was pretty much dried out. It was a disappointment. I know that this restaurant in general doesn;t get good reviews here on the dis and boy, those reviews are the truth!!! I gave it a chance because it was convenient for us......Never again for dinner:sad2:
