My youngest dd-age 20 got her tonsils out Tuesday.
Believe every word how hard it is being an adult-she is in pain.
Anyways, she don't have cable at her apartment at college,
but she has Netflix through her Wii System.
We have been watching Grey's Anatomy Season 1 and we just finished Season 2 streamlined from Netflix. We just took a break, because we picked up some stronger pain meds and she fell asleep. I think my dh wants to kill because we took over his new tv.

Some observations about watching a program with no commercials-
1. You have to pull yourself away to go to the bathroom.
2. We realized lines are repeated, repeatedily.
3. George O'Malley-TJ Knight-did he ever win any awards-he his hilarious and a great actor.

Wish my dd would wake back up, we watched 2 episodes of Season 3. But sleep helps her heal faster too.

I don't think I watched this much tv in years.
I had to take 2 weeks of Family Leave to care for her-but she is worth it.
I went to work on Friday for a few hours and I told her to call me or text me if she feels icky or something.
I received a text after about an hour.
My heart just about dropped, because the first 2 words were:

"Hurry Home"
(my heart dropped)

"your mom is here hanging out with me"
"Grandma told me I have to talk and exercise my jaw."

:grouphug: to your DD....hope she heals quickly & is back to her old self soon.

My DD16 recently spent over 8 weeks in the hospital & was just released earlier this month. Talk about watching too much television! I also DISed more than I ever have in my life (there was a computer right in her hospital room).

One time I had my mother (DD's grandmother) come in to sit with her so I could run home and shower. Not less than an hour later I got a text from DD saying, "I think this was a bad idea". :rotfl:

We also played a lot of games to pass the time. Have you tried the card game "Scrabble Slam"? It's fun, and only takes two minutes to learn.

I hope she feels better soon!

I LOOOOOOOVE  Grey's Anatomy. And Patrick Dempsey helps too :rotfl::love:.

is she taking her pain killers? I had mine out last year at 34 and it wasn't bad at all. Just took my medicine every 4 hours and never missed a dose. It does get better every day - won't be long before she's good as new. :)

Yes she is taking her pain meds but it wasn't strong enough so her Dr. Gave her Toradols to use and it is helping. I see your new baby in your sig. Congratulations.

I completley understand about that much TV!.

I had brain surgery in June. 1 week in the hospital and 8 weeks recovery at home. I was either asleep from the pain meds or watching TV. The 4 big ones that I watched were:

Food network
HGTV
Roseanne
The Nanny

Thats all that is on between midnight and 5 AM!!
