We are planning our first Disney World trip and my 13 year old daughter will be celebrating her 14th birthday while we're there.

While booking the trip over the phone, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special and once I told my daughters birthday, she told me my daughter would get a button to wear announcing her birthday, and 'MAGICAL' things might happen while we're there.

Has anyone celebrated a birthday in Disney? What type of magical things might happen for my daughter?

What could/might happen that we can/might look forward to?

We are doing the same thing - celebrating my DD's birthday there. I have never celebrated a birthday there but I've heard if you wear the button, CMs make a huge fuss over the birthday girl/boy. I don't know what else they do but either way, it'll be fun!

My DS will celebrate his 11 b-day and I will celebrate my 40 while there!!!!!! We have celebrated our b-days there before! Everyone wishes you a happy b-day! Also, we rec'd balloons and a card from our fav. character in our cabin at Fort Wilderness! Also a b-day cupcake for DS at O'Hana for breakfast! Also, a b-day sundae at Rainforest! It was alot of fun!:goodvibes

Have a wonderful trip and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!:wizard:

I am not sure what they do "magically" these days but I did take my daughter there for her 7th birthday about ten years ago and we stayed for about 5 days. She had many wonderful wishes from the CM's and characters and a cake/cupcake once a day for at least one meal. The characters came over and wished her happy birthday and signed cards for her. The funny thing is the last day we didn't bother to tell anyone it was a birthday celebration trip since we were all partied out and had cake coming out of our mouse-ears. :rotfl2:When we left the restaurant after having lunch that last day my daughter looked at us and said "hey, they forgot my birthday cake". We cracked up.
