We celebrated my daughter's b-day (3 y/o) and did the Ariel's Grotto thing. We just stayed 1 night and 1 day hopper ticket (we live in SoCal). I'll try to answer as many ?'s as I can but here a a few pics:

The hotel room, I had reserved just a regular room but they hooked us up and COMP'd us the much nicer DCA park facing room. Surprised they had a 13th floor but it was awesome:

View facing from our room to DCA needless to say it was a stunning view

View of PPH Pool from the waterslide the weather was hot but perfect for a cool dip.

View of waterslide at PPH It's better suited for kids, very-well attended by lifeguards at top and below. We sent our 3 y/o down it, the lifeguard at top tells the lifeguard at bottom that a "'lil one's coming down" as the final plunge is a tad deep..but the lifeguard, at the bottom, made sure to scoop her up as she went from sitting to "superman" at the bottom..she went head on..but like I said the lifeguard scooped he up..good folks

Sweet Surpise.. They brought us the chocolate covered/sprinkle cupcakes with cherries on top when we got there and then when we came back from swimming there was a plate of chocolate dipped, Mickey rice krispy treats waiting for us..I think I was more excited than anyone else..:cool1:

Room Service We actually ordered the Continental but they accidently brought us the omellette..but I'm the least pickiest person when it comes to food..it was delicious eitherway.)

The hotel was great and the staff were helpful. Only thing I would say that needs to be improved would be if they palced elevators in the parking garage. Also, the bellhop lost a little bag that held my daughter and son shoes, luckily they still ahd their Croc's extra but they were the ones they were going to wear at the park.

All in all a great experience for my daughter and son. A little hiccup by the seating hosts' at top but a b-day to remember for our daughter.

My daughter (2 going on 3) got her meal for free but it was half portions of the regulard kids menu and no dessert..which is fine as there will be plenty to share from the adult's desserts.

Just remember if you are doing the Ariel's Grotto thing to stay up at the top and DON"T GO DOWN until the pager lights up.

Cute photos!

But that snow white has some crazy looking eyes (or maybe it's just the makeup)...haha.

I'm confused by that slide. It doesn't end in the pool?

What a fun birthday. Thanks for sharing the pics. It looks like you had a magical time!

thank you for sharing! Looks like your princess had a wonderful experience! I must say I am surprised at how great the Princesses look! You never know how true to the story they will look! I am impressed!:flower3:

aaawww... your kids are adorable!

Surprised they had a 13th floor

It used to be the Pan Pacific, and according to wikipedia:

13th floor

The hotel is one of the few tall buildings in the Western Hemisphere to have a 13th floor. Due to the common superstition of the number 13, most buildings in America skip that number — the floor after 12 is 14, then 15 and so on. This is a result of the original owners being from Japan, where 13 is not considered bad luck. Disney has not since changed this.

That said, I went looking b/c I thought it did not have a 4th floor due to that superstition, but many people have reported they stayed on the 4th floor. So...color me confused!

And those are very cute pictures, and the Grotto is *completely* different than I thought it would be!

I'm confused by that slide. It doesn't end in the pool?

Nope!

Yes, 4 is an unlucky number is asian circles..and thinking about it I can't recall if it had a 4th..think it did though.

I agree I was mesmerized by Snow Whites eyes..but the "real" Snow White has brown eyes..no? I have to say that Belle's (sic) makeup was perfect..her face was flawless..it almost looked animated. The REAL shocker was my daughter wore that costume THE WHOLE DAY and it was hot..I was hot just wearing a polo shirt..whart girls will do for fashion..:rotfl:

The photo of your daughter with Belle is priceless!

So where exactly does that slide end?

What a great trip and a wonderful birthday for you daughter! Thanks for sharing all the pictures!

The photo of your daughter with Belle is priceless!

So where exactly does that slide end?

The slide end at the end where the water drains out ..like s shallow mini pool/walkout area..it is not connected to the pool.

What cute pictures!

The dessert picture looks delicious!

I got the same Birthday Princess Bucket too!
The cake was surprisingly a lot & rich, I love sweets & I couldn't even finish that one!

Thanks for sharing. Ooooh! Those cupcakes look yummy! Your daughter looks like she could grow up one day and take on the role of a princess! And what a handsome brother she has too. I can't imagine a better place than Disneyland for a birthday!

:wave2:
Thank you so much for sharing your absolutely gorgeous little ones with us. Those have to be the most precious princess pics ever!!!! Beautiful memories!!!:cheer2:

i agree with JaneJetson....that is an ADORABLE picture of your daughter! you have some beautiful children:goodvibes happy bday to her!

She is a great Ariel!! My mom and I saw her a couple of times and she remembered my "fishy tails" since my hair was in french braids!

When we took our picture at ariel's grotto my mom leaned over and said "I know you can't break character but you are a fantastic ariel"
Ariel smiled and said "Thank you very much!"
