This past Tuesday morning, I took my girls to the main street barber shop for the first time and as my second daughter was getting her hair done a camera crew from GAC came in and asked permission to film and "interview" her. I had to sign waivers etc. and she will be on TV on the GAC channel. THey told me it was a top 20 countdown, but I checked their website and it looks like they will be having Disney nights - which makes more sense. Anyway...I don't get GAC!!! Ugh. Nobody I know gets GAC!!

She is Josephine from Illinois, sitting there with a Mickey cape on and pixie dust in her hair. She clammed up on camera, but smiled and looks cute! :flower: I have Comcast cable and I do not have that channel. I am curious where the GAC channel is broadcast.

Thanks for any info!

What does GAC stand for? I am sorry to ask, just dont know the abbrvations. Thanks!
And what a surprise huh? That is so wonderful for your daughter!

Great American Country? If so, I have that channel. I will try to DVR it. And if I can figure it out, I will even tape it for you if you'd like. I can't promise anything, but I will do my best. Did they give you an exact date and/or time?

Anyway, how COOL!! Congrats, talk about Disney magic. :wizard:

I have Warner cable and the GAC channel. Let us know when she's supposed to be on and I'll DVR it as well just in case Ruthie can't transfer it to tape. I know you can do it but I've never tried yet.

Looks like on the website the shows are 12/12 thru 12/16 at 8pm est. For the Disney shows.

I'm in IL and have Comcast, I didnt think I had GAC either, but it turns out we do, its just on one of those numbers I never go to!! (its in the 90's, we have Disney Channel on 72, and rarely go further than that!! lol For us HSN is in the 90's)

Thanks for the heads up, and maybe watch that TV Guide Channel to make sure you dont have it!!

Hello I live in Texas and I just saw her on the TV> She had a ponytail at the top of her hair and It was a women cutting it.

Very cute and you're right she didnt have much to say!!!!!

It says the Disney shows start on the 12th. But if they are already showing it, I'll have to reset the DVR!! I set it to tape all of the shows for the 12th thru the 16th. I'll be on the look out for it now too.

My two favorite things, country music and Disney World. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the info!!

I saw her!!!! I called Comcast this morning and asked how I get the GAC channel. I needed to upgrade and that was it!! I taped it for my mom in AZ.

The show is a top 20 countdown they were doing of music & videos with WDW park scenes and rides interspersed.

She said more than I thought she did, actually!! She is such a ham on a daily basis, but she really clammed up on camera. It was so quick and sudden I didn't even get a chance to say anything to her or explain what was happening.

Watch for Josephine from Illinois in the Main Street barber shop!! The show is on throughout the day today and then repeated on Wednesday I was told.

Hi, Kelly! We did have a wonderful trip - just not at the BWI!! Ugh...what a major disappointment. I wrote about our wacky stay on the resorts board. You would also just love what happened to us at the MVMCP show. People are so rude. :guilty: (HC problem with Lu's eyes) I will email you if I get a chance.

The GAC show was on all day today and they told me it would be on again Wednesday. It was cute. I was not a great big fan of country music, but the music was good! If you want to watch it Wednesday, check GACTV.com for the program listings. It is the Top 20 Countdown.

It was a weird but cool coincidence that we were in that barber shop. :wizard: In all of our 30 something trips we have never stepped foot in that place - never really took notice of it. That whole experience of the girls getting their hair cut and dolled up was fun for them and actually cheap for WDW!!

Josie was so excited to see herself on TV. The whole thing was really cool! :flower: It was nice for her, too, because so many CMs saw Lulu with her cane and just gushed over her that it made Jo feel special to get this TV attention.

Take care & thanks!!

I just saw your little girl. I had not read this thread since your original post, but we did stumble across the countdown today and we set the Tivo to record the show. I was going to offer to mail you a tape. I am tickled that you were able to add GAC to your cable service in order to see the show.

Country music isn't all bad. It's not all great either, but it's got it's place in my heart. Terri Clark and Sugarland are my favorite country artists. They both make some really good music. Maggie

Maggie - THANKS for the kind offer to tape it. I am so glad I got to see it & tape it for her Gparents. Yeah - I grew up listening to Crystal Gayle and Glen Campbell, Marty Robbins, Dolly Parton and so many more these are just the names that came to me off the top!! I like so many different types of music. I saw Terri Clark & Sugarland on the countdown and enjoyed both!!

Thanks again!!
