for Halloween but I am afraid that she will be too hot in the costume. We will be at MNSSHP on Sept 29th and I am afraid that she will just sweat away. Has anyone had their child dress up like Jojo? If so how thick was the costume? Was you child hot??

Thanks

The disney store JoJo costumes are a heavy, heavy, almost fur-like material. They were brutally hot for any indoor parties. Perhaps you can find a seamstress to mimic one in Cotton?

Good luck!

I was at MNSSHP last year on 9/30 (I think). It was HOT! Later in the evening I did see a little girl dressed as Jojo who was getting her picture taken with the "real" Jojo and Goliath. It was sooooo adorable. They were making a huge deal over her. However, it was HOT!!!! Good luck with your decision.

My Neice was JoJo for halloween last year. Costume from Disney... is made of a almost velvet type material (pants and shirt) but there is a satin type material that is under the shirt of the costume to hold the pants up... Its a one piece with a wire ring to hold the JoJo shirt out the way it does. Here (in PA) the costume was perfect for fall weather with a sweatshirt & pants under it. If your daughter is used to warm weather... maybe you can put light silky type shorts & tank under the costume instead of regular cloth

My DD was JoJo at a MNSSHP 2 years ago. She's a tiny thing, and the smallest Disney costume didn't fit, so instead I modified a pair of red bell-bottom pants (that were a little too short) and a yellow long-sleeved t-shirt. I made the hat myself. It turned out pretty cute, and was far cooler than the Disney costume (which is all one-piece) but I will admit it wasn't easy! If you do it yourself, I would recommend using orange pants instead of red.

Mur!

Super heavy and hot! DD was JoJo in 2004 and she has the outfit in her dress-up things. She had the hat/ wig on last night and wanted to know why it was so heavy.

Just my 2 cents but I would try to do what owensamo did - make one yourself b/c those Disney costumes are very hot!
