My Daughter leaves the 23rd for Boot Camp

I am so glad I found this post. I just found out a week ago that I leave on june 17th for boot camp. I am so nervous because it is happening so fast. I have no friends or family in the Navy either. I guess I am excited though too. Best of luck to your daughter.!!! I feel its a great decision.

My husband comes from a long line of military members (he's 4th generation). He served for over 26 years and retired a few years ago. As his wife, I understand some of the anxities you might be going through. My prayers are with your family as you adjust to your daughters new experience. You should be very proud of her, and yourselves for raising such a patriotic daughter. Thanks to all of you for your part in the service to our country.

My daughter joined the NAVY last week and she is leaving for Basic Training on June 23rd. She just graduated this past Sat. I'm in a whirlwind! It seems like everything is moving at top speed.

I'm guess I'm asking for some hugs and prayers for her. I'm SO PROUD of her! Even as I'm writing this I'm tearing up. My little 3lb 40z girl is growing up, and taking charge of her life.

You raised a wonderful daughter. I wish her and you all the best!!!

Congratulations to your daughter! You have every reason to be proud of her.

Make sure that you have everyone you/she knows write to her while she's in Boot Camp. When I was in Army Basic Training way back in 1979, the mail is what kept me going. I averaged 5 letters a day - it really helps!
