My daughter is growing up!(sorry-brag!)

Today is my dd's 11th birthday! Hard to believe that she is 11 already. We are having a pizza party and then going to see Freaky Friday with some of her friends. She is very sweet and we are so proud of her. She managed straight A's the last 2 terms in school after a tough start. She also plays softball and plays the flute. She has gotten very good with the music and it is so fun to watch her play. She is a kid that doesn't care what other people think or do, she does her own thing. I guess I'm feeling a little sad today because she is one step closer to being taken over by the teen thing! Good thing she has been so easy up til now so when the "teen thing" abducts her we will have fond memories. Sorry to go on so long! Just had to brag and wish my dd Alyssa a happy 11th birthday!!

Happy Birthday to your new 11 year old! My daughter turns 13 next week, and she can't wait! They definitely do grow up awfully fast. She is our "baby", and I don't want her to grow up!

My daughter and I went to see Freaky Friday a few days ago and we absolutely loved it. Jamie Lee Curtis is a riot, especially when she is being the teenager. The theatre was packed and at the end of the movie people actually applauded. I don't think that happens very often in the theatres these days.
