My cousin is in the Navy

I can't think of what to say ? I just wanted to post about my cousin because she is in the Navy. When we where little children ( I am still a 28 year old child lol, but I mean when we where children such as being around 9 years old ) my sister and I would go over to her house. She has one sister and one brother. I am older than all of them. When we where little Children my sister and I used to have so much fun with them. The oldest one is the one who is now in the Navy. Well I can't really think of anything else to say. I just wanted to say that my cousin is in the Nazy.

FlowersChild, how long has your cousin been in the Navy? Are you worried about her? Is she on a deployment now or is it just a general worry? Or are you just looking to connect with someone? Sometimes having a family member in the military can be confusing and worrisome, especially if it isn't something you are used to. I know when my brother first joined the Navy (served in Desert Shield/Storm, was aboard the Cole when it was attacked in Yemen) it was just a strange feeling for me.

I have since married into the military (Air Force) and it's amzing how "ordinary" this once foreign lifestyle is to me now. My husband is currenlty deployed for 4 1/2 months. He spent two months in Qatar and is now in Tampa. While taking care of the two kids and the home on my own can be challenging, I feel fortunate that it's only 4 1/2 months and he didn't have to go to Iraq or Afghanistan.

But anyway, this all seems very "normal" to me while my family back home and non-military friends find it hard to comprehend.
