My Cousin is having a WDW wedding & I have ??

Hello everyone! Congratulations to all of you! I honeymooned in WDW in 1999 and have been hooked ever since. My cousin has decided to have a WDW wedding, she is hoping for November 17, 2007. She has a preview day setup for October 14 where they can go check out places. I have a few questions for you experts if you don't mind.

What are the discounts on the various rooms?
(She is leaning towards AKL, POP & she hasn't decided on a Mod yet.)

What are the ticket discounts? Are hoppers available or just base tickets?

If I book my room on my own will it count towards her "block" she has to guarantee?

She wants a fall theme, will it clash with the decorations for Christmas that will be around?

I'm not sure on ticket discounts, but I know about the resorts. Unfortunately, Pop isn't available to be blocked. I ran into that problem too. I chose Movies because it's my second favorite value resort. For next year, the Value resorts offer a $74 rate for the wedding discount, Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a $242 rate. If you book your own room, you'll just have to give her the confirmation number so she can give it to her wedding person and it'll count to her block. And about the decorations, I don't think it'll clash, not all the decorations are up by then anyway from what I remember when I've been there around that time.

You will only get a discount at one of the resorts she picks. SHe doesn't have to do one in each category, so if there's one you're dying to stay at, ask her if she would mind choosing it.

By the way, the room prices quoted in an earlier post might not be 100% correct. The price per room varries by the season, so I'm not sure if those are right for November or not, but the discount is 10% off value resorts, 15% off moderate and 30% off deluxe.

We haven't done any park tickets, but I believe what they told me was that there would be a discount on a park hopper only.

I was a bit off, I thought November 14 was value season again but it's still regular season. The prices from the Wedding Group Rates price list for those resorts are as follows:

All-Star Movies: $89
All Moderate Resorts: $140
Animal Kingdom Lodge: $285

Regular season runs from October 4 to November 24..

Just wanted to let you know, it is only 30% of the deluxe resorts that are convention facilities (BW, BC, YC, Cont, GF... think that's it). The other deluxes, I believe, are only 15% off. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, just wanted to add, November 17, 2007 is my parents 30th anniversary Your cousin picked a good day to get married!

Your right...the 30% is only for Deluxes with a convention center otherwise it is 15% just like the mods. Oh and someone said the prices vary per season. My rates are higher than the ones posted above. Also I do not believe Pop is an option for room blocks.
