Not having a good day anyway, DH at work all day and the children are really trying my patients. Decided to make some Chocolate muffins, all going fine and whilst they are cooking made a loaf of bread which I put in the oven when I took the muffins out, which by the way had cooked beautifully. set the timer and when I went back to the oven the bread had not cooked and the oven was luke warm. The top oven and hob are working fine but the main oven will not heat up at all - the light will come on and the fan will start but no heat................ dread to think how much this will cost to repair and I've only had it about 3 years - never again will I own another Zanussi product, theyv'e all been too much trouble.............. UUUUUUUUUrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - sorry for vent!

What a pain! Hope you can get it sorted :flower:

What a nuisance, vent away, hope you get it sorted soon :)

Sue :cutie:

Oh dear, and my iron packed up me today too, there must be something going on !!

It's probably just the elements which aren't too expensive to replace - annoying though. Sorry about your bread - I love home made bread!

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Hope you manage to get it repaired without it costing too much money.

Shame about the bread at least you had the muffins.

Thanks for allyour kind replies, feeling a little calmer today - DH is calling an engineer and hopefully it won't be too big a job as everything else on the cooker appears to work except the main fan oven doesn't heat up. So no more home made bread for a while!!

Oh no! What a pain. But fair play to you doing all that cooking in the first place, with the kids playing up!

Must be something in the air, as my washing machine packed up last night. Just contemplating the nightmare of calling out an engineer two weeks before we go away, but decided to have a poke around myself, and found the drain was blocked by one of my favourite (now mangled) Harry Potter socks.... :sad1: that the sock is in pieces, but relieved that the washing machine seems to be ok now... ::yes::

Engineer came today and we are all working again at great value too - only £79 so that can't be bad ( the element had burnt out). So off to make more muffins (they don't last long in this house) and bread - I actually had to buy bread yesterday for the first time since Christmas.

Leise glad you got your washing machine sorted - maybe i will have to check my drain for all the missing odd socks that just never seem to turn up!!!

Glad it is working again ~ Could you send some muffins to me, they sound fab.

Would they survive the Great British Postal System!!!!!!!
