Boss is being induced today. (but that whole thing is a different thread) Miss Info has been getting updates all morning from the family. I know when she gets a call because she starts to baby talk. And then if someone here mentions the baby, she baby talks to them. I'm really starting to gag from it all. Maybe I need to go home sick. This was not the day to have forgotten to recharge the battery on my mp3.

The eaisist way to combat that, is to repeat anything that she says, back to her in a loud voice and in plain english, only misquote her. Example: "Oooh da baby comin soooon, how sweeet!" Repeat back: "You gave up a sweet baby soon after high school???" (heheheh)

Note: must be said with a slight confusion, to make it seem like a true misunderstanding!!

Baby was born at 2:19 at 2:37 boss was on the phone with Miss Info. I thought she was bit by a shark the way she screamed. She gets off the phone and is rushing around the office telling everyone about the baby.

This morning I ask her if she went and saw boss and baby at the hospital. Of course she did. She starts baby talking me, and I took GP's advice and started baby talking her back.

She stops talking, looks at me and says "Why are you talking like that?"

Me - "Oh I thought that's how we had to talk when we spoke about the baby."

Miss Info - "Where'd you get that idea?"

Me - "From you. You've been talking like this since yesterday, every time someone mentions boss or baby."

Miss Info -

Funny, now when someone asks her about the baby she speaks normal.

Ha ha - it's like that commercial from the 80's where the dad finds his son's cigar box of drugs and asks him where he learned to do drugs and the boy blurts out, "I learned it by watching you!"

At least MI stopped doing it and didn't get all defensive about it.
