We are 4 days out from leaving for DLR and my child will not quit asking when we are leaving! It is hilarious really! I have made a calendar to put stickers on until the day we leave and still he won't stop! Just thought I would share! He is 3.5 yrs old and so excited! So anyone out there wondering if that age is too young to take your child should go for it! He is going to have a ball! Any tips for a kiddo so young would be greatly appreciated! He is looking very forward to the Nemo ride!!!!

Oh what fun. But that's the reason we don't tell our kids until the day we're leaving. haha.

We took our 3.5 there a few years ago and she had the BEST time. Talks about it nearly every day still. One thing I recommend, is taking a spill free cup with you. We have 4 kids and it was guaranteed that someone would spill a drink at a meal. We went to Minnies with our spill free cups and poured the chocolate milk into them and it was bliss. Also, if you do a character breakfast, make sure you do a bathroom trip first or you won't get to eat much between getting your son food, the characters visiting and bathroom visits. :) He will have an awesome time though, spills and all.

Isn't your little one's excitement so much fun!! I'm taking my now 2 1/2 year old and she does the same thing. She wants to watch a Disneyland video we have at least once a day. She daily asks me if we're going to Disneyland... which comes out sounding like "we go Dizzylan today?". I don't know what she's going to do when I tell her it's the actual day.

One thing I am making a point to do is the Pressed Penny's around the park. I'm not sure how she's going to do on the rides so I wanted something that would keep her interested. I got one of those plastic M&M holders (they have the mini M&M's in them). Over on the DISign board, I found someone who had done a cover that has the Disney Princesses, printed that out and covered the M&M holder with it. I'm planning on buying her one of the pressed penny holders once we're at DLR. She loves little treasure hunts around the house so "hunting" pennies will be a great thing for her.

Awwwww. I love this.

Seriously, what a genius was Walt to create this amazing place for kids that still makes adults all giddy too. It's perfect.

My little one is only 7 months right now. But I can't wait to take her, the way they light up about it is just beyond cute.

So know the feeling. My girls are 6 8 and 10 and they won't stop talking about Disney. They made their own countdown. They keep asking what we are eating...what rides first...etc. Have a great trip.

Oh both you and stubby are soooooooooo close. I still have over 4 months :(

Luke was about to turn 3 when we took him to WDW! He had such a good time and still talks about it. I play youtube videos for him so that he can talk to me about them! I will do the pressed pennies this time bc it will be fun for him! such a joy! I want to impress on people that 2 and 3 is not too young to take them to the parks! It is wonderful! We did measure luke yesterday and without shoes he was 41.5"! yay! now if I can get him to stand up straight in his tennis shoes he should be able to ride most of the rides! we did sneak him onto splash mt at WDW last time and he loved it! it was super busy and I just carried him on my hip! I am really not sure why they have a height rqmt on that ride! he did wonderful! I wouldn't try for thunder mtn even though DH wanted to try! I could see that one!

We were planning on surprising them the acutal morning we leave. lol They won't bother us too much then. Just 14 hours on the plane. Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Wow he's tall or my 5 year old daughter is short. She's just made 42 inches. She'll get to do stuff she couldn't do last time like the jumping jelly fish, big thunder mountain, splash but not Indy. She'll get cranky when her brothers all go on it and she can't. She also couldn't do star tours last time.

We did a chain (sorta like those christmas chains with paper). The kids ripped one off every night. It was lots of fun actually. This time they're HOPEFULLY gonna get surprised. We're telling them we're going to Vegas LOL

That age is so fun. DD2 LOVED it all. The wonder in her eyes was amazing. My biggest tip is take lots of drinks and snacks. :) Oh and be prepared to have to take a few breaks..sit in the shade and people watch a bit

I am only 5"3" but my husband is 6"5" so I guess luke won the lottery on height! we were so excited when we measured him! We gave him high fives and he didn't understand why! haha!

I am planning on making a stop by a grocery store for water and such and trying to pack some treats in our carry ons. I used ridemax to make a itinerary so we didn't miss anything. has anyone tried that? I used slow park touring and ab 3 hours a day for naps! we really still need those especially if we are going to stay up late and get up early!

I highly recommend granola bars if ya'll like them :) They gave the kids some energy and are healthier than some stuff. (Yeah ok not with chocolate. that part's for mama :P HAHA)

I haven't used ridemax (just because I don't like to have a list like that) but I know tons of people who LOOOOOVE it. Let us know how it goes. I'm interested to hear :D

I bought some candy stuff today so that I did not have to pay $10 for the equivalent of sour patch kids. I am reserving those for parades and such! I did buy some almond bars for breakfast. We will see how packing goes. Hopefully I can fit a few things in. I am mostly concerned about bringing some water and a few treats. everything else will be lagniappe!

I don't remember much from my dd's first visit but my ds's first visit was when he was 3. All he wanted to do was ride Autopia over and over and over. We have a great video of him steering the car (dad pushed the pedal) and him saying every 4 seconds- Look Daddy! Look at that!

And another at the parade pointing and laughing and telling us to look at everything!
oops! Sorry for the double post!
