What exactly is a shaft and is it important?

Also, the guy doesn't recommend Wal-Mart tires (even through they are made from Goodyear, the tires that Wal-Mart sells are made cheaper than other Goodyear tires-has anyone ever heard this? Thank you!

There's absolutely no truth to what you were told about the Goodyear tires sold at WalMart. DH is a tire designer for Goodyear, so I've got some authority on the subject. :thumbsup2 He said that some of the tires sold at WalMart are the same tires sold at Goodyear and other tire stores. Tires are made in different molds...hence the different names of tires...but they're all made with the same materials, etc. and are held to high standards. There's absolutely no difference in quality. The only difference is in design specifications since each tire is built to fit perfectly on the car it was made for. :)

what kind of vehicle?

A shaft could be one of a few things.... a drive shaft (trucks often have two or three of these)? An axle shaft? A steering link shaft?

In any event, it is a big issue. Any added info would be cool. :cool1:

I believe it's an axle shaft and it's for a 1994 Honda Accord.
