My car accident, Mary Poppins and the DIS

I really love this place....

Yesterday I got in a car accident. Or perhaps I should say a car accident happened to me. I was sitting at a stop sign and saw a young man in a shiny new pick up truck jump a curb, lose control and he crashed into me going about 35 mph. I was seat-belted and I am physically fine, thank God (good thing he wasn't in the Bahamas, eh, EROS?). My 1991 Dodge caravan is totalled. I won't get much for it, and I was absolutely distraught.

My brother is out of town and my SIL picked me up and lent me his car. Last time we were in that car, DD left the MaryPoppins soundtrack in his CD player. It's almost impossible to be down in the dumps while listening to Chim Chimeney...

I went home and made a WHOLE pitcher of frozen Margaritas (Pina Colada flavor!) and drank the whole thing.

This AM I was feeling really bad again. Couldn't stop crying. Then I came here. There is such a mix of tragedy ...snoopy's friend, Serena's problems and huge courage.. And pure nonsense..."tell me your first Disney memory". Well, it all just made me realize how lucky I am. And made me feel infinitely better!

It's understandable to be upset sounds like you were lucky that you weren't hurt.

Maybe you'll get a new minivan out of all of this

I hope you're feeling better. A car accident like yours can be traumatic to your soul. Sounds like you had a good remedy. I'm glad you walked away from that accident!

I'm so glad that you weren't hurt. Sometimes it pays to have "LUCK" riding shotgun .

As for THE BIG GUY, you're VERY FORTUNATE. I have it on good authority that he is taking off today for a 3-DAY weekend in ARUBA ; at least he was around for a change when someone needed him .......
