night photo and even some indoor photos come out too dark. even on night setting or indoor setting........the x-mas parade in dec, the night time one didnt even come out....all dark........help anyone.

You might want to ask this on the photography board. There will probably be someone over there who has the same camera that can help out.

From what it sounds like, the shutter wasn't open long enough but with the night setting, that should have been preset.

If you have a manual mode(P? Or Av?), try increasing the ISO, and try increasing the Apeture instead of the shutter. If you decrease shutter speed, you will be left with a blurred image. (Which could end up looking really cool) Remember without a still subject you can't take pictures in the pitch black even with nightmode. If it was still you could try making the shutter speed 10 seconds to get maximum light.

For better advice, there are more pro guys than me on the photo board.
