My Budget "Mickey Room"

I just put the finishing touches on my 3-yr-old's new "Mickey room" and I wanted to share some pictures of how it turned out.

I got the Mickey's Gloves White paint, Mickey's Pants Red paint and Mouse Ears Black paint at Home Depot. I painted one wall red and the others white, then used the black to make the Mickey heads. I made my own stencils for those, with a blank stencil kit from Hobby Lobby. I won the poster in an Ebay auction and bought the comforter set online (and searched high and low to find this one with both a top and fitted sheet).

As my son said, "That's a lot of Mickeys!"

Wow, what a lucky little guy! That room looks awesome and so happy. I love the way you put some of the "Mickeys" into the corners and curved them. I do that often too when doing stuff like that, it makes it look really great.

Thanks, everyone! I enjoyed doing it. I'm not normally a "crafty" kind of person, but I pulled this off without too much stress! And only one emergency trip to Home Depot!

Now, the sad thing is that we are probably going to sell our house in the near future. I kept the rest of the paint -- I am considering this my "practice" room because I'm sure I'll have to re-do it in our next home!
