My best splurge at a Disney gift shop was when I bought a _________ at ____________.

When my youngest son was 5 we let him play boardwalk games at DCA. Not something we would normally spend cash on in the parks.

He won a Bullseye! He loves that thing! He's 8 now and I wouldn't be surprised if it is in his bed right now.

Mickey earrings from the watch store in Disneyland. I wear them often. I got them 4 years ago as a 25th birthday gift to myself.

Not a splurge, per se, but one of the best things I ever got at the parks were my Mickey crocs flip flops. I wear them all the time.

4 extremely overpriced, $8 plus each, ponchos at the Epcot International Gateway in order to use our Soarin' FP's in a sudden storm - Priceless

Not a splurge, per se, but one of the best things I ever got at the parks were my Mickey crocs flip flops. I wear them all the time.

I LOVE my Mickey croc flip flops, too!!! I was just telling my in-laws today they HAVE to get them on their first trip next year.

My biggest splurge so far was pick a pearl with the gold cage pendant. I have nothing like it. It's beautiful!

I have splurged on the set of DVD's. There's one DVD for each park. I watch them frequently. Come to think about it - I'm about due for some updated DVD's.

Just to prove a "splurge" doesn't HAVE to be expensive- mine was a set of disneyworld playing cards. Totally impractical because we already had cards. Way too expensive considering we can buy them for $1 at the dollar store. But yet my favorite thing I bought myself- we've used them countless times and the pictures always bring back wonderful memories and start us all reminiscing about our time at Disney...

I bought 2 Beauty and the Beast wine glasses from the shop in NFL and love them. We have a ton of glasses so they weren't needed but I think of that little shop when I use them. The nicest CM was in there and started talking with my girls, one of the little things I won't forget.

I still have my kimono from Epcot. Every so often I'll wear it for Halloween :) Its very pretty. sky blue & pink :)

Best purchase ever- a pair of zip-off, lightweight packable pants/shorts at the gift shop outside of Expedtion Everest. Those pants SAVED me on Kali River, and my mom is obsessed with them. We had to hunt to the ends of the earth to find additional pairs after Disney discontinued them. God bless the CM that found a pair at company D and mailed them to us!

My $250 Dooney from the Magic Kingdom with the perfect castle placement in the middle was my best splurge. It's such a pretty bag and holds fantastic memories.

A Mickey-shaped charm (in US-flag style) for my necklace. I wear this so often, and somehow it became something like a statement "This is me. I like Disney and I like the USA" ;):)

And a golden-white Tinkerbell watch, which I still love.

This may sound odd but the first pin i bought in 2000 which would lead to me now having hundreds more!

Both of my Disney Dooney's. One is a Sketch Tassel and the other is the brown shopper.

Biggest splurge numbered painted canvas print of Bella Notte : Lady and The Tramp Art of Disney (?) EPCOT

OH and one more if anyone remembers the ORIGINAL Figment ride when you were let off and then made your way out everyone always took a picture with the Giant stuffed Figment yes I asked and yes I bought one (early 1990's) about $300 wanted it to go with us but the box wouldn't fit in the back of the station wagon ripped that box open rearranged everything MIL telling me I was nuts swore I would leave her in FL if I had to, but Figment was coming home with ME

Got a lot of strange looks as he lay nose up in the back returning to NY
Still have him in corner of bedroom...hindsight BIGGEST dust collector I ever owned vaccuum him all the time :lmao:

We bought a Castle playset for our Niece at Disneyland Paris and gave it to her for Christmas. It's like this one, (picture in Post #9 of link) but it's the Paris version of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Guess who her favorite Aunt and Uncle are now?

On our most recent visit, my wife saw a Mickey Mouse watch at World of Disney store. Later, she told me how her Grandmother had given her one just like that when she was little. I snuck back later and bought it. I kept it a surprise and gave it to her after we got back home. Guess who's her favorite husband?

Next time I'm buying a CD of park music (or at least the Wishes soundtrack!) because I wanted to last time but didn't. I bet I'll listen to it nearly every day too!

I bought the $80.00 mickey waffle maker and boy did my husband ***** about me spending that mch..lol. My kids still enjoy their mickeys waffles to this day 5 years later. :)
