Please help me figure out how Santa can have "fe fies from Dondons" (french fries from McDonalds) here on Christmas morning.:confused3

Andy is 22 months old and every time we see Santa that is what he asks for for Christmas!

I do not think he will understand a gift card. I do not know how well french fries would reheat in the microwave Christmas morning if I bought them Christmas Eve.:confused3 Poor baby needs his present!!
Any advice?:santa:

Do they still make the McDonald's play food sets? Is he into pretend play? He might enjoy that if you can find it in the next week...or any play food set that includes fries.

I don't think real ones will taste very good at all the next day!

I wouldn't microwave them, I'd but them in the oven broiler for about 2mins that should crisp 'em up for him.

Sorry, it's either that or make your own but just put thme in a McDonald fry container. If you go to an actual McDonald's and tell them your story I'm sure someone would think that was the cutest thing they've heard and just give you what you needed.

Thanks for the idea, we already have a McD's drive thru play set. He plays with it often. This kid just really wants some french fries!

Maybe all the other presents will not keep his mind on the french fries too long? This is my baby that usually eats nothing but fruit all day long!

There was a study done about a year ago where they took french fries and placed some in a McDonald's container and some in plain brown paper container. Almost 80% of the kids said they preferred the ones in the McDonald's container.

So, what I would do is hold onto a McDonald's fry container, buy some frozen restuarant style french fries (OreIda sells an extra crispy restuarant style that are the same shape and size as McDonald's) and cook them using the deep fryer instructions. Remember to fry them twice, this is the key to make them like McDonalds.

That is so cute. When my son was almost 2 (he turned 2 on christmas day) everytime someone asked what he wanted for christmas he would say "diet coke." He had never had it before, but it is what I always drank.:rotfl:

Anyways, I would do what PP have said. Save a fry container, and make your own fries so they are fresh. He probably won't know the difference.

That is just the funniest thing because a friend of mine's son has requested french fries from Santa too. I asked if Sant would deliver and he said it depends how late BK is open CE.

They learn so young! Cute story - not sure how you'll get fresh fries for Christmas though.:confused3

McDonalds gets there fries frozen....maybe you can talk a sweet McDonalds manager into selling you some to fry up Christmas morning really early (although I don't know how you'd hide that).

Toys R Us has a McDonalds play food set for about 10 bucks. We bought that for our 30 month old for Christmas. Way too cute about what he wants though!!

Besides shoving some fries in a used container as suggested, you could also get some of the McDonalds christmas stocking stuffer coupons. I can't remember but one of them might be for fries. They are cute and Have McDs pictures on them so he would recognize them. Just a thought. It is a dollar for 10 or so and they are for different things.

Maybe santa could leave a dollar for some fries because they were closed when he came by the house.

Thanks for all of your suggestions!!

I am leaning towards finding a gift card with a pic of "fe fies" on them OR buying some frozen fries that look like Mcd's fries. I think I could put some in a christmas plastic bag with a note from santa that they are in the freezer. Then I could make them for him. I have an 8 yr old DD that still believes so I must be careful.

We just came back from WDW and you should have seen his face when we got to the Orlando airport and he saw "Dondons!" We had to keep telling him that was not what we flew there for!!

I do wonder what Dondons puts in thier fe fies and burgers to make little ones crave it so????????????

We could offer any restaurant to our DS who is a good eater but the first thing out of his mouth would be McDonalds since he was 2.

How about making your own coupons for him......obviously he won't be able to read the coupon that says it's good for one fe-fies, but he should recognize the photo.

Here's a picture I found for you.....it's from a website about allergies, but hey, that's not the point, it's a great photo

How darling. DD asked Santa for cheese when she was 2, and by gosh...she got it!!! A box of string cheese wrapped up and placed on the kitchen steps when she got up....complete with a note from Rudolph saying thanks for the carrots! Anyway - how about also getting a book of McDonald's coupons?! Then you can get the fefies another day, but still have something to give.

And also - my kids used to play McDonald's all the time, so we got them one of those play sets with McD's food and a cash register. This toy has been used a TON since DD got it a year and 1/2 ago (seriously, one of the best toys I've bought for the money). Oh and BTW - we rarely go to McD's. Really. They are just so intrigued with the thought of working there that they play it all the time (and yes, during the summer we pretend to work at the drive thru window when riding bikes outside :lmao: Crazy kids.)
