My baby is all growed up....Waaaahhhhh!

Wow, Lisa - you are a much nicer mom than I am! I told DD14 that just because she turns 16 and the state says she's old enough to drive doesn't mean she is going to. DH is a cop and I handle auto insurance claims - poor kid, she's screwed.

Believe me -- there will be a lot of conditions set before she actually gets a driver's license. I spent several years working in my family's insurance agency and completed tons of accident reports involving inexperienced drivers (and some were pretty tragic). I'm actually worried to death about this but know it's all part of growing up.

I've got one kid promising to buy me a Winnebago to live in, and the other promising to build me my own driveway and RV hookup next to the house! DD is the one promising the Winnebago (so I'll go away), DS has the driveway, or so he says (so I'll stick around).

This is why I send them to college. So they can afford my lifestyle.

Oh is that why? My MIL has been here for 6months....I will have to ask her if that is why she sent DH to college? Oh wait! We are still paying the loan. :lmao: So does that mean I can kick her out?! :rolleyes1 So you can live with them when they are older! :lmao: (I have to laugh or I would cry)

Congratulations Mindy! Last one out of the nest must be very hard. At least you'll have him close by if you need a hug. :goodvibes it goes by too quickly.

When #1 DS graduated from HS I was miserable knowing he would be leaving for a college a long way away, Univ. of Alabama. Fortunately he transferred to my fave state, FL.The nest was only half empty then so I was able to turn my attention to #2 DS. Poor kid has gotten attention for 2 these past few years. Now he's graduating 10th grade. I don't know which will be more traumatic when he finally graduates?! My being almost 60 or his graduating from HS:faint:

Don't forget that there needs to be a cistern along with the RV hookup ;)
