Just had to post about the Pre-BF deals I got this a.m. thanks to Kohls and Albertsons. 
( I know you will appreciate this!)
I decided to buy myself a new digital camera this year and found one I liked at Kohl's pre-BF sale. On sale (online) at Kohl's reg. . $299, only $149.99 plus a $20 rebate from the manufacturer. There are also Junior Boots on sale for $19.99 that my DD liked. (These items will be on sale in store at midnight)
I took DD13 to Kohl's yesterday and had her try on some of the boots for sizing and what one's she liked. I also checked out the camera. I couldn't get into the box but it looks good to me-plus if I don't like it I can return to Kohls, no problem.
So my pre-discount total at Kohls for camera and 2 pairs of boots is about $190.00. I have a 15% discount at Kohl's but I found a 20% off code online. Total before tax, just under $152. Cool! That means I'll get $45 back in Kohl's Cash that I can use starting 11-26. So I'll be getting a total of $65 back in rebates and Kohls Cash.
But wait, I said I saved with Kohls AND Albertsons. Here's how...
Albertsons (once again) is offering a $20 coupon for each $100 you spend in qualifying gift cards. One of the qualifying ones is Kohls. So early this a.m. (6:45 a.m. ) I went to Albertsons and got $150 in Kohls GC and $50 in AMC GCs (great gift idea for DD13!). In order to get $40 in coupons I had to do 2 separate transactions. After I did the first one the cashier asked me if I wanted to use my $20 coupon on my 2nd GC purchase. I told her I didn't think I could but she (and another cashier) thought they could. I told them to go for it. YEAH, it worked.
So I got the 2nd $100 in GD for only $80. I then did a little shopping (using my $20 coupon and a few others) I paid $2.55 for over $48 in groceries. I only bought items already on sale and I had a few coupons for those as well. Personally, I think Albertsons is expensive so I really only buy food there when it's on sale.
My total at Kohls, with discount, was about $163. $150 on GC and $13 on my Kohl's charge. My purchase also qualified for free shipping!
I haven't totaled my total savings yet, but I'm very satisfied with my deals. A new camera, 2 pairs of boots, $45 in groceries for about $165 plus I'm getting $20 back on the camera and $45 in Kohls Cash.
So the camera was $299 and the boots were $80 and $60 before the sale. Total $440. Total at Albertsons before coupons $48. Total just under $500. Cost me $193, $173 after camera rebate. (over $300 in savings!) And I still have $45 in Kohl's CASH to spend. Whohoo! I ROCK!!! Oh and I still have $50 in AMC GC that I saved on as well ($20 off $100 GC-so really that's another $10 I saved at Kohls and $10 at AMC)
Just wanted to share.
Oh, and I was talking to the cashier at Albertsons and mentioned that last year there were more choices with the GC promo. She said that they've been told that's there will be different offers each week. That's great news since we are doing some front landscaping improvements and plan on spending at least $200 at Home Depot and HD wasn't part of this weeks offer. Lowes is. What we need (pavers) is only available at HD. So, fingers crossed, next week HD GC will be part of the deal.
This weeks deal inc. GC from AMC, Applebees, Chili’s, Groupon, iTunes, Bass Pro Shop, Macy’s, Sears, Regal Theater, Lowe’s, and Kohl’s. The deal is now thru 11/29/12. You have to use your $20 coupon within 7 days-so don't hold onto it! You can use it right away.
My advice, if you are going to be shopping at Kohls (or one of the other stores mentioned above) go to Albertsons first and buy some gift cards. It's like free money.
FYI-this is my first online order with Kohls. I will get my Kohls CASH by email within 24 hours. I love online shopping.
