My Alaska port adventures window opens up tomorrow. What do you recommend?

Never been to Alaska...what would you say are the must see's or must do's in each port...Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan? Thanks again! Nothing like saving the planning for the last few hours....yikes! I usually do all of my excursions through third party vendors but wondered if there were any that were offered through Disney that we should consider. I should at least book them while I can since I could cancel them later if need be.

Our number one choice in Skagway on our first Alaska trip was the White Pass railroad.

We booked all of our excursions through 3rd parties, so I am not sure what the options are. My suggestion is to book Palo Brunch on one of your sea days.

In Skagway we did the helicopter to the glacier/sled dogs. $$$ but amazing.

In Ketchikan we did a nature hike and canoeing. Just beautiful.

Both excursions took us far away from crowds-- which was a welcome reprieve-- and left us with beautiful memories (and pictures).

one idea.... choose "Best of... " at each port. These combo excursions offer a great selection while saving you time.

In Skagway we loved the Takshanuk Mountain Trail 4x4.

We also did the helicopter dog sledding in Skagway. This was the only excursion we felt the need to book directly thru DCL since they don't require full payment in advance and it tends to get cancelled higher than avg with unpredictable weather conditions.
