I just had to share this with people I know will understand. DH and I went to DLR in July. When we were there shopping for souvenirs, I mentioned wanting to buy a production drawing sometime. I'd had opportunities to buy cels and drawings before, but could never justify the cost. And even if I could, what would I choose?
Well, our anniversary was yesterday and guess what my DH bought me? A production drawing from the 1933 Mickey Mouse cartoon, Mickey's Mellerdrammer! (It's the Uncle Tom's Cabin short where Mickey's in blackface.) The sly fox! Not only did he remember our DLR conversation but he remembered this short, which I had mentioned at another point in our trip. Then he tracked down a production drawing--knowing I preferred them to cels--and bought it as an extravagant anniversary gift.
Plus, this is the man who takes me to Disney even though he himself could take it or leave it. He proposed at WDW. It was he who suggested we go to DLR this summer. And now this. No wonder I love him!
