Remember - I've got a tour of Fords theatre coming up as I will be back in Washington DC tomorrow night -

and I am choosing to "behave tonight" as I do plan on having fun at a local bar tomorrow late afternoon / early evening nearby the Renaissance hotel watching NFL, having a 'few".....and well - just celebrating one H of an adventure I will never forget.

Felt a little bit underwhelmed about seeing "the Presidents House"

IMHO, the only highlight of the Presidents House was this -

About to head out to a local Wash DC sports bar (City Tap Bar)

close by the Renaissance to quietly celebrate what has been one heck of a fun adventure n2 the Mid Atlantic -

(their burgers rock!!)

and of course afterwards - was fun to celebrate that I still have a few days off from work until I have to return.... s0........

(Luv Guiness - IMO tastes just like chocolate milk)

and -

(I call this concoction, "A margarita heavy on the mar"

and slowly now start thinking about my DCL cruise you see listed below n my signature -
And .....

That I’m beginning now to transition back to reality come tomorrow afternoon -
But until then and
anywho -
got Fords Theatre in the AM -



So.....after a while, I began to feel that warm fuzzy glow of wrapping up one incredible adventure n2 the Mid Atlantic when all of a sudden, for some crazy reason, I just had a hankering for a milkshake....

So, what better place to go than ** SHAKE SHACK**


But, its what happened next that will just have you saying WTW and or many other things.....

Now, I’ve boogied in over to the Shake Shack (located next 2 the Spy museum) for of all things ....

Bacon cheese fries and a cookies and cream milkshake .... and watching college football


BUT......
I didn't realize that there was a step DOWN once you get n2 the building and due to the fact I was looking so intently at their wall menu board -

(Im now beginning to miss Ladybug)

so in the process of looking at the menu board, I stumbked , tripped and just barreled n2 not one but three women - Their reaction was just priceless (they thought I had 2 many margaritas)-


I apologized over and over, felt like an idiot.....and it was when I was defending myself -

ie - that Im wrapping up one nice vacation here in the Mid Atlantic and am now beginning to look at my Disney vacation and.....

and it was right there that they smiled, thought I talked a little funny (Im a Texan) as they TOO like All things Disney to one thing lead to another and now
The four of us are heading out for a small night cap at their hotels bar .....

Nothing major-
All in good fun I stress -
Oh the silliness I get myself into -

DAY 10
Sunday September 15th
AKA "DEPARTURE DAY"


no worries - got a tour of Fords Theatre coming up....

followed by a visit to the Peterson house - just across the street -

and to think, the stage is only 12 feet below, but Booth still broke his leg -

Was strange to see the Capitol building look like this but it did during Lincolns time -

the Tour guide did say NO, National Treasure: Book of Secrets wasn't filmed inside Fords theatre.......hmmmmmm -

Movie magic then - I guess.

So while on tour of Fords theatre , was fun learning about the phrase, “Peanut gallery “

(Theatre is getting ready for a play; hence the reason why the stage looks this way)

So the story goes, people in the cheap seats like peanuts and would throw the shells onto the rich seats patrons down below - just to annoy them.

HENCE the phrase, "Peanut Gallery."

The house to me is quite small - you can even hear the floor boards creek -

Overall, a very enlightening trip to see Fords theatre - glad I saw it -
heading back now to the Hotel and prepare ta head back to Texas .
