My ADR review
Here is my review of my first Disney Dining experience....It was a girlfriends getaway, leaving the men at home and taking just our daughters ages 10 & 11......

Sunday Aug 24th ~ Crystal Palace for Breakfast.

The food was good, the service was Ok, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet stopped by out table, Pooh was Missing In Action......LOL

Sunday Aug 24th ~ 1900 Park Fare

Dinner was good, Character interaction was FANTASTIC, service was Ok, our server had a very thick accent and I couldnt understand most of what he said...

Monday Aug 25th ~ Hollywood & Vine with a Fantasmic Package

Food was good, service pathetic !!
We were 5 minutes late and they made was wait and gave us a pager, it finally went off 45 minutes later then as we handed the Maitr'd the pager she said it was a mistake and that we werent next, ( insert ticked off person here " ME " ) lol
We told our server we were on the dining plan and the fantasmic package....
After dinner I asked for our Fantasmic slip and she politely told me I didnt have a Fantasmic reservation, I showed her my reservation printout from the ASMu and she came back and said just because I booked it doenst mean I was entitled to it, they only have 200 passes for the restaurants and unfortunately they ran out, ....... ( insert an even more ticked off person here "ME" ) LOL

She then came back to the table as it is now POURING down rain and says "here" since it is raining some passes have become available....
I almost jumped out of my seat I was so mad...

Tues. Aug 26th ~ O' Hana's

As we approached the podium I realized the menu for the evening and not even thinking started to panic, I am allergic to pineapple and my girl friend is allergic to Soy, LOL.......
We explained this to the maitr'd, who was absolutely wonderful with our situation...
The Chef came out and explained to us, that he would cook a special menu for us and for us not to eat anything unless he brought it out to us PERSONALLY,

about 30 minutes later a WONDERFULLY Prepared meal came to our table free of pineapple and soy... Our experience at O'Hana's was wonderful.... Our server Carlos was the best so far during our dining plan...

Wed. Aug 27th ~ Chef Mickey's

Food was usual, service was Ok, nothing great...

Thurs. Aug 28th ~ Mama Melrose

Food was great, service left little to be desired..... DD asked if she could use her table service for a kids meal, and the waitress clearly and not so nicely told her NO....It wasn't like she wanted to upgrade to an adult meal, it was down grading......lol

We received our Fantasmic slip at this restaurant without any problems......

Fri. Aug 29th ~ Akershus ( Norway )

Appraoched the podium 10 mins early and we were called promptly at 6:15 for a 6:20 ressie, didnt know about the Princess photo package, so I politely explained that although we were travelling togther could I please purchase a priness photo package for my daughter and I .... ( figured they would charge the same as Chef Mickey's ) the photo hoses said she would speak to the manager, she came back and said not to worry they would take care of it for me, wrote it down on our photo slip and even escorted us to the photographer and explained the situation....

we were then seated at our table and about 30 mins passed by and we still hadnt seen out server, he was MIA, it was suppose to be Morten, but then Sverre appeared and took our drink order, came back twice with more drinks...... Then appeared after we were seated for over an hour and seemed shocked we didnt have our food yet, luckily there was shrimp and sald on the buffet or we would have starved......lol The photographers helper appeared with only one photo package and politley told me I wsan entitled to another.....lol UNTIL he checked with the photographer and got the OK......

finally at 8pm we were still sitting there, got a second round of Ariel, Jasmine Wendy and Cinderella and NO FOOD, We finally got up went to the maitr'd and said we were leaving, He called the manager our to us and she seemed shocked that we hant received our food, but was overly appologetic...

So we headed off to the Cantina in Mexico for Margaritas and Churros for dinner and a garden curb seat for the fireworks......LOL

Sat. Aug 30th ~ Whispering Canyon

well here we arrived 10 mins early only to be told they are running 20-25 mins behind schedule, so we headed for a drink in the bar.... Came back 25 mins later and were told it would be another 10-15 mins....
Ok I am sensing a pattern here.......lol

Our server named Character yes that was her name.... took so long to bring our food and refill our drinks that at 8pm we asked for our desserts to go....

Sunday Aug 31st ~ Crystal Palace........
I cancelled the Dining reservation as I was not in the mood for more poor service......

All in all it was a good experience having never used the Free dining plan, I plan on using it again next year... The food was good and sometimes even GREAT.....

I hope my review isnt too negative, as we did have a wonderful vacation.....

My Favourites at each restaurant

Crystal Palace breakfast was the hash browns with cheese....
1900 Park Fare dinner was the fruit tarts for dessert.....
Hollywood & Vine dinner was was the bow tie pasta salad.....
O'Hana's Dinner ws EVERYTHING !!!!
Chef Mickey's for dinner ?............. the red wine gravy for the beef........LOL
Mama Melrose for dinner was the Penne Vodka Sauce Pasta....
Akershus for dinner....... The tossed salad from the buffet with the mickey dressing ... ( Does anyone have the salad dressing recipe ???????? )
Whispering Canyon for dinner......... the Smores dessert........

I forgot to mention that on Sunday at noon we stopped in at San Angel inn to see about a table for two for a quick drink and some tortilla chips,
they seated us promptly and if anyone is interested they bring you out chips and salsa before your meal as an appetizer, this same portion of chips and salsa they charge us $ 7.00 for, so with a cold beer in hand it was a nice relaxing stop....

Thanks for the reviews! I have some of your favorites on my list to try during our next trip :flower3:

Which ones?

Crystal Palace breakfast is my favorite breakfast in Disney World and those hashbrowns with cheese are the best part!

My favorite dish at Mama Melrose's is the Penne with Vodka Sauce too.

And O'hana's dinner is just all around really good, especially the bread pudding dessert! I haven't been since they switched the potatoes for the noodles so I'm interested in seeing how well those noodles compare! I'm a potato girl all the way so we'll see...

great reviews! I like how you included all aspects, not just the food! thanks!
