Ok I'm gonna try my hardest to keep this updated, but I used to do a blog that I forgot about and I want to do a pre-trip report including planning strategies, exciting stuff to "hold me"(do) until the May 21st-28th trip, and all kinds of stuff, including NON-pre-trip reports thats more like a blog but I don't wanna open a webpage for a new blog so I'll do it as part of my pre-trip report!
I am Joey Carr, age 20 and am a BIG guy who needs a wheelchair to do stuff that requires alot of walking. I weigh 448 pounds and have had a weight loss surgery that didn't work and almost killed me(I'll probably tell the story in the coming months) and am really looking forward to my 6th Disney World/Universal Studios trip after 7 years of dreaming of going back, and funny enough the 15th Anniversary of our first trip ever to Disney World.
My fellow Disney trippers will be my Mom,Rona Carr and my Dad,Geoff(pronounced Jeff). They are the only ones who have went with me for all 5 of our previous trips and they are doing this trip in celebration of my 21st birthday on April 26th. Other things you should know about me is I love to make home movies of almost anything am a master at using a video camera. I am also a BIG movie & tv show buff and a BIG wrestling fan. I am also a fan of podcasts run by my favorite Director Kevin Smith and his SModcast podcast network, even tho I am 8 months behind on episodes. I have started listening to 2 different Disney World podcasts including WDWRadio and (of course) DIS and have downloaded both show's backlog of episodes listending to hours and hours of Dismey World conversations. I have 2 inside dogs named Lucy(a fox terrier 10 years old named after I Love Lucy's Lucille Ball) and Rachel(a boxer/german shepherd mix,1 year old namer after Friend's Rachel Green character). I also have outside a 1 1/2 year old black cat named Salem(after Sabrina the Teenage Witch's talking black cat). The pets will not be making the trips with us and they will be taken care of by my Mamaw(Betty Lee) and cousin(Tony Brierly). I am going to a pre-screening of Kevin Smith's new film Red State followed by a Q&A with him in Springfield,Ohio just 2 hours away from home on March 14th. I also have a wrestling PPV coming to town(Cincinnati) on April 17th(TNA Lockdown),following a VIP weekend starting on April 16th that includes meet & greet, professional photo with the Hardys,a signed DVD of Mick Foley, and a buffet dinner cruise with the wrestlers. I also have a wedding to attend on April 10th for my sister where I will be the camera man,and I can't wait to add my future brother in law and future nieces to my family
Whooooo, that was alot of introductioning there! lol
And here is the planned schedule for the trip..........
May 21st-Halfa day at Magic Kingdom
May 22nd-Universal Studios/Islands of Adventures
May 23rd-Animal Kingdom, then park hopping to Magic Kingdom
May 24th-Hollywood Studios
May 25th-Epcot then park hopping to Magic Kingdom
May 26th-Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure
May 27th-The Grand Finale-Full Day at Magic Kingdom
Also interesting about this trip is I have convinced myself to be a converted chicken rider, because on rides I have always waited in line then when the truth of the moment comes I chicken out. So this year I'm going all in..... TOT,RnRc,Mummy,Splash Mountain,Space Mountain,Test Track,Spider-Man,Jurassic Park,Dinosaur,Expedition Everest, all of them, for the 1st time(well I have ridden TOT before and hated it because I was so scared, and the RnRc because I was tricked, and also hated it because I was scared)
My favorite ride in the parks is Haunted Mansion which in 2003 I rode the ride 13 times in a row and a very nice cast memeber team after getting back on after waiting in line for the 4th time let me stay on until I was done.
My favorite show of all the parks is NOT a Disney show. My favorite by far is Terminator 2 3-D. Terminator 2 is one of my favorite movies of ALL time, and I'm looking forward to seeing it possibly for the last time since the rumors of a Avatar 4-D show replacing it rumors are out there.
okay I think thats a good 1st pre-trip report to start off with. I'll try to keep this updated 2-4 times a week until the trip.
